As much as we try to prepare for these types of things, our hearts always have different plans.
Today was one of the most difficult mornings of my life.. and as I write these words I still just find it so surreal.

You were a beautiful soul…. Jesus granted me with the honor to have you as my soul dog. I got you when you were only six weeks old, the most beautiful little pup I had ever seen, those first few years were A LOT of learning for the both of us.

Getting to know you I think was equivalent to getting to know myself, you showed me how to rely on another each and everyday. I mean I really could have had the worst day, the whole world could have hated me, but I would come home and you would be SO excited to see me.. no hate, all love, always.

I won’t be the same without you, but I think I am okay with that.. I full heartedly think that’s how it is supposed to be. Animals we call our pets are one of the hardest yet most precious lessons we get from this life, especially when they cross that rainbow bridge. You taught me how to be more patient with life and to love deeper than I ever have before.. you will never be forgotten.

I love you, forever and always. 💛 by @nitajoint
