Firestorm by @whirlwindcustoms

Today we have a killer of a custom by @whirlwindcustoms this time it's the nuclear man Firestorm! This pad printed custom comes with two different head pieces as well as a custom moulded helmet piece, let's get into it!

Starting with the legs which are dual moulded and come with some nice boot line detail on the front and side. As well as a yellow superhero underwear print that is bright and seamless against the red.

The torso comes with a nicely done belt design, I especially like the buckle part in the center. But the standout is the Firestorm Matrix on the chest, I love the extra white detail around the central orb when compared with the official Firestorm figure. The back of the torso also carries this detail over and looks great!

The arms are again dual moulded and have a nice shoulder print that suits the character perfectly.

Next the head comes with two different pieces with different prints, one a stylized head based on the character's portrayal in the cartoon Batman the Brave and the Bold. The other is a more official looking Firestorm head similar to the official version. I love the inclusion of both these options and how different they both look. I really like the black shadow around the Brave and the Bold face as well as the yellow eyes on the more naturalistic version.

Finally the overall highlight of this custom figure is the helmet piece, the shaping of it is really nice as well as the yellow line work around the bottom and top. The flame piece is so impressive both in scale and shaping, I love how it's translucent too just like on the official Lego Firestorm figure. They both look great together but this custom is really a step above.

Overall another phenomenal release from @whirlwindcustoms and probably one of my favourite figures this year! 10/10 fig! by @nitefig

Thor by @manos.figs

Today we have another of @manos.figs awesome Marvel wave, this time my favourite of the bunch, Thor! This pad printed custom comes with some excellent details as well as a custom hair and helmet piece, let's get into it!

Starting with the legs which have lots of detail on the front print, the grey chainmail design looks incredible. As does the bronze/gold line highlights that span across the whole figure. I particularly like the shading design on the metallic ball print.

The torso has a really nice muscle print, as well as a cool collar design with a bit of skin showing. The belt print has an awesome rune in the centre and carries over seamlessly onto the hip piece. The back of the torso looks equally excellent despite being mostly covered by the cape.

Next the arms which carry over the chainmail design which is also seen on the leg piece. I like how the print goes all the way up the arm and doesn't wrap around, much like how an official Lego design would look.

The headpiece comes with two expressions, a stern look and an angry thunder eyes version. Both of these are spot on, I love the yellow eyebrow print as well as how well the face lines up underneath the helmet. The alternative expressions thunder eyes also have a great reflective print which looks fantastic!

Finally we move onto the custom hair and helmet piece, this one is so big and imposing! The hair having gaps for the cape is an inspired choice. I also love how large the helmet wings are, as they should be with this character.

Overall this is a phenomenal custom by @manos.figs and is the perfect Thor for my collection, I always remember this look from the Civil War era. Love this fig! Special thanks to @nrvotic for designing this one too. taken in Asgard by @nitefig

Superman Beyond by @sonsetbricks

Today we have another character from one of my favourite childhood shows Batman Beyond, this time it's Superman Beyond who appears in two episodes of the original show. This pad printed custom by @sonsetbricks has some excellent detailing and a custom printed official hairpiece. Let's get into it!

Starting with the legs which have lots of detail across the front and sides, nice grey line work for the boots. A cool dotted padding design at the top, but my favourite part is the Superman shield knee pads, which are inspired! The side of the legs also have the big white blocks just like the design in the show.

The torso looks great with a detailed muscle design alongside more of the dotting effect. The most eye-catching part is by far the iconic white S symbol on the chest. The shaping and details of this is perfect! All these details carry over onto the back of the figure also.

Next the arms which continue the white block design from the legs, I love how these wrap around and you can still see them from the front. As well as more dot padding print which looks phenomenal.

The face piece comes with two expressions, a stern face and an angry laser eye face. I really like the expressions here especially the age lines they've added, I love the fact that next to the official Superman figure the cheekbones match really well. It really does look like it could be an aged up version of the character, the angry alternative expression also looks fantastic!

Finally we move onto the official Lego hairpiece which is printed with a grey side printing. I really like this piece and the printing is solid despite being on a tough shaped hairpiece.

Overall I think this is a phenomenal figure by @sonsetbricks and really well done for a second release. I am so happy to have this one in my collection alongside Batman Beyond. Special thanks to @weaponx.customs for designing this one. taken in Gotham City by @nitefig

Nova by @manos.figs

Today we have an awesome figure of the Marvel intergalactic hero Nova! This pad printed custom comes with a unique custom moulded helmet as well as lots of awesome details, let's get into it!

Starting with the legs which have nice black line work all over. The boots have nice sole printing in metallic gold that looks great, as well as cool knee guard designs. This printing also carries over onto the side of the legs seamlessly.

Next the torso piece which features a really unique belt design that stands out great. The muscle design is really nice as well as the gold chest piece printing, this gold colour really looks phenomenal under different lightings. As well as the character's iconic symbol in a blue colour, the back of the torso also has a great star design.

Then the arms which have a nicely angular shoulder print as well as the character's well known gauntlet design printed on the side, alongside more blue orbs that look great!

The headpiece comes with two different expressions, a stern face and a more angry one. Both of these look really well done, I especially like the eye design and how well it lines up with the helmet piece.

Finally we move onto the best part of this custom, the custom moulded helmet! This piece is shaped really nicely, I love how it gets tighter on the lower sides of the helmet. As well as the really impressive star shape that spans across most of the front of the helmet. This figure is really miles ahead of the official Lego version but especially in the helmet area.

Overall this is another awesome Marvel character to be adding to my collection, special thanks to @manos.figs for making this one. by @nitefig

Animal Man by @excelsior_custom

Today we have a figure I've wanted for a long time, Animal Man by @excelsior_custom! This pad printed figure comes with some excellent design work and two different head pieces and a custom moulded hairpiece, let's get into it!

Starting with the legs which are nicely faux dual moulded, the blue printing is bright and looks perfect. The legs feature a really cool boot design which almost looks like feathers or fur, a really nice touch which also carries over onto the side of the legs.

The torso piece has a very cool jacket design with excellent line work, I particularly like the padded elements on the bottom. The iconic A symbol is shown underneath and looks great! I also really like at the top of the torso being a darker blue fabric design that then carries over onto the head, a small but really impactful inclusion.

Next we move onto the two different head pieces, each with a different expression. One a stern face and the other an angry battle ready one. Both of these look really great the mask design and shaping is a highlight, as well as the two different goggle designs on each expression. I love the reflective print design for the goggles, as well how the alternative expression instead chooses to show the eyes. Both are great options for display.

Finally there is the custom moulded hairpiece that fits this character perfectly, funnily enough I've also seen this custom hairpiece on Booster Gold. It looks great and creates a unique silhouette for the figure.

Overall this is really a standout amongst my collection now and a figure I am so happy to finally have. Thanks to @excelsior_custom for making and to @deltaformula for selling this one. taken in Hall of Justice by @nitefig

Angel by @manos.figs

Today we have an awesome X-Men custom of one of the founding members, Angel! This pad printed figure comes with two expressions and some excellent printing, let's get into it.

Starting with the legs which are nicely faux dual moulded, the white printing is bright and not remotely faint against the red. The design on the legs and hip piece carries over seamlessly and really looks great.

The torso carries over this white print nicely and helps to create the character's iconic silhouette. I really like the gold metallic printing for the halo symbol on the chest, it looks fantastic! The muscle design is excellent as well, the back of the torso also has great printing but is hidden by the wing piece.

The arms have nice print detail for the cuffs and shoulder design, they don't wrap around fully but it doesn't bother me as it looks like what I imagine an official Lego Angel design to be.

Finally we move onto the headpiece which comes with two expressions, a smiling face and an angry battle ready one. Both of these look great the face mask shape is phenomenal and the tan skin colour print looks perfect.

This custom also came with an official Lego wing piece in grey which I swapped out for a spare white one I had in my collection.

Overall this is a really nice custom figure and in my opinion the best Angel minifigure I've seen yet! Amazing work @manos.figs and @nrvotic for the design. Definitely an X-Men character I've wanted in my collection for so long. taken in Professor Xavier's school for gifted youngsters. by @nitefig

Major Force by @80stoyshop.cn

Today we have a custom I've been excited about for a long time, Captain Atom's arch enemy Major Force! This pad printed custom by @80stoyshop.cn has very nice details as well as a custom hairpiece. Let's get into it!

The torso piece has a very nice muscle print as well as the shift in colour between the yellow and pink. The yellow printing is bright and vibrant and not remotely faint at all. My favourite part of the torso is the MF symbol on his chest, a small but excellent detail. The arms have no printing but are dual moulded and look great!

The head piece comes with one expression, the stern look really fits the character. With a highlight being the eye print, the shading around the yellow eyes looks phenomenal.

Finally we move onto the hairpiece which is custom moulded and is my favourite part of the figure. The shaping is unique and I love the flat top, the piece is also sturdy and feels like an official Lego piece.

Overall I am so happy to have this custom in my collection, he looks great alongside Captain Atom and was a villain I really needed. Special thanks to @80stoyshop.cn for making and to @tracyminifigs_ for shipping. taken in Washington, DC by @nitefig

Blob by AliExpress

Today we have a fun bootleg custom big fig from AliExpress, this will be a shorter review than others but honestly for the price for this figure it's really not a bad big fig at all.

The figure comes in 4 parts and has to be assembled yourself just like an official Lego big fig. I think this one is a bit bigger than the official Lego ones however. It comes with two expressions one of which is really terrible so I didn't even bother photographing it. Despite this the other face shown in the photos isn't too bad.

The main issue with this figure is the paint job but at only £4 I am not gonna complain too much! Overall I'm just happy to have this figure represented in my collection. taken in Professor Xavier's school for gifted youngsters. by @nitefig

Plastic Man by @abnormal_minifigure

Today we have a really unique custom of everyone's favourite comedic member of the league, Plastic Man! This pad printed custom by @abnormal_minifigure comes with several unique custom moulded stretch pieces as well as a custom hairpiece, let's get into it!

Starting with the legs which are a very faithful recreation of the characters comic look, the red printed onto the pale skin colour is vibrant and the superhero underwear detail looks great. I really like the fact it is printed onto the back of the figure too.

The torso piece has really nice line work for the front string look. The muscle print blends seamlessly from the red to tan colour, and the belt design looks phenomenal. I was surprised to see the open collar design also is printed on the back of the torso and it looks great!

The head piece has one expression but it's perfect for the character, the smug cheeky smile design is spot on. As well as the white goggles and the cheekbone print.

Next we move onto the custom moulded hairpiece that wasn't necessary for this figure but looks great! It looks like a less rounded Superman hairpiece and I really like the shaping of it.

Finally we move onto the highlight of this custom which is the custom moulded stretch pieces. This comes with five parts; two differently shaped arm pieces, a large hand piece, a hammer hand piece and finally an elongated neck piece. All five of these feel sturdy and fit perfectly like an official Lego piece on the figure. These really add so much personality to the custom and give it so many different ways of being displayed on a build. These pieces make this figure potentially one of my favourite customs I've bought in general!

Spider-Woman by @bobscustoms1

Today we have an awesome member of the Avengers and Spider-family, Spider-Woman! This pad printed custom comes with some awesome detailing, two heads and a custom moulded hairpiece. Let's get into it!

Firstly starting with the legs which have nice faux dual moulding, the yellow print onto the red is very bright and not faint at all. I really like the big black outlines of the boots that go around the front side and back of the legs. The hip print and leg blends seamlessly together and create a unique silhouette for the figure.

The torso has nice female muscle line work as well as some nice shading detail. Again the yellow print in the centre is incredibly bright and looks just like the character's source material. The back torso printing also looks nice despite being mostly hidden by the hair.

The arms have a nice 360° wrap around cuff print in yellow that matches the hands and looks fantastic. As well as a higher line for shoulder detailing, I appreciate how these go all the way around the arms instead of stopping before the edge, it looks great.

Next we move onto the two headpieces, first the Spider-Woman head that looks really nice. The skin colour is bright and not faint at all. The goggles have a nice blue shading on the eyes that adds great depth and the yellow forehead symbol is perfectly aligned. The alternative Skrull head is a fun inclusion and I must say the design of the expression looks phenomenal. This wasn't needed for the figure but helps take it to another level.

Finally we move onto the custom moulded hairpiece for the figure which to me is a standout. The long black hair looks and feels like an official Lego piece, the way it hangs down on the front looks great. The back of the piece is even better in my opinion the sculpt job is very impressive. Probably one of my favourite custom hairpieces in my collection.

Overall this is an amazing figure by @bobscustoms1 and one I am so happy to be adding to my collection! taken in New York City by @nitefig

Weasel by @80stoyshop.cn

Today we have an awesome custom of my favourite member of the Creature Commandos, Weasel! This pad printed figure comes with lots of custom moulded elements, let's get into it!

Starting with the legs which have nice claw printing on the bottom in a darker brown, as well as clumps of fur printing which carry over onto the side and back of the legs which looks great.

The torso has a fun belly pouch detail on the front which is a awesome inclusion, the front paler fur print design looks great and super accurate to the character. The torso also has an extra tail piece on the waist and honestly I can't tell if it's official or custom, but it looks and feels fantastic.

The arm pieces have simple fur printing much like the rest of the figure. However this custom has unique custom moulded hand pieces that go over the official Lego hands. These pieces feel sturdy and look like something Lego could produce. I love the inclusion of this piece it really takes the figure to the next level!

Finally we move onto my favourite part of the figure which is the awesome custom moulded head piece. The shaping of this is perfect and feels like an official Lego piece. The head fits well and moves just like an official Lego head. The printing of the face is phenomenal, from the tongue hanging out to the eye print being lopsided, it's truly a fantastic piece.

Overall this custom is really well done and is another awesome @80stoyshop.cn figure to add to my collection. Special thanks to my mum for getting this one for me as an early birthday present! taken in Corto Maltese by @nitefig
