On Sunday, March 8, 2026, on the occasion of International Women’s Day, I had the honor of speaking about “My Right – Human Rights are Women’s Rights.”

Women’s rights are essential because they are fundamental human rights for half of the world’s population and are crucial for building a just, peaceful, and prosperous society. When women can live freely and safely, societies become stronger, more stable and more resilient.

Yet the reality remains alarming. Around 35% of women worldwide experience violence during their lifetime. This makes violence against women the most widespread human rights violation.

Protecting women’s rights is therefore not only a moral obligation, it is essential for strengthening communities and society as a whole.

As the saying goes: “WOMEN HOLD UP HALF OF THE SKY.” When women rise, societies rise with them. ✊♀️🌍 by @nitevly
