In the tapestry of Hindu mythology, she emerges as a prominent deity, revered as the goddess of wealth, prosperity, and fortune. Bestowing success upon her devotees, she possesses the ability to grant wealth, perseverance, knowledge, and enlightenment. Yet, her gifts are bestowed in a capricious dance, guiding us through life’s undulating rhythms.

As a devout Catholic, I bear witness to her tangible presence in the corporeal realm through the woman captured in the second picture. My mother, a living embodiment of Lakshmi, just like her name. My Lakshmi, has sculpted my existence. Every facet, from unconditional love to the wealth of wisdom, knowledge, and ethical guidance, reflects her divine influence. The benevolence she emanated was not a myth but a reality that shaped me into who I am.

Alas, the physical realm no longer contains her, for she has transcended to where she truly belongs—with the celestial assembly of gods.

A testament to her existence echoes in the timeline of 15/09/1962 to my last breath. by @nitin.simonsays
