First droid project that I've finished in quite some time. A custom BD-1 unit for @mtn_taco_trooper. I gotta say, after working so much with @droiddivision's models, it's hard to go back to just any old model out there. This thing was such a pain in the 🍑

This year's festival of the arts was an absolute blast! Even though I wanted to buy way more art than I could afford 😅 I also got to hang out with some amazing friends that I haven't seen since Celebration Orlando as well as make some new ones! Don't be strangers, y'all!

Got to wear my clone for the first time in several years (the test fit from before doesn't count). I definitely missed it, but I can also see where it needs some TLC. Especially where my body has changed since theb. I'm also very interested in making another helmet so I can do the whole face-off mod to it. But overall, it was a great night 😄

Tragedy struck today. My roomba decided that there could only be one droid in this household and went after the pit droid. He ended up falling and cracking the edge of his head. No other injuries, but I guess it'll be extra ware and tear from "years" of roaming around. Unfortunately for him, being in Florida means that damaged area will "rust".

Hello pain. It's me again, ya boy who absolutely despises sanding. But hey, if you want something to look 🤌🏻 you gotta put in the work. This is another reason why I charge as much as I do for my droids. I value my time a lot and sanding takes a lot of it.

But yeah, just some progress on the Buzz droid domes. I currently have 2 big projects on the table right now. I'm starting to find a good balance between the two. I'll be sharing as much as I can.

I got to spend my first May the 4th at Galaxy's Edge yesterday with the lovely @hope_love_joy_, and boy, was it a ton of fun! Seeing so many people that love the franchise all come together to a single place (outside of Celebration) was just so cool to see and experience. It has truly reignited my love for this franchise and the people that are in it. Not only did I get to run into some familiar faces, but I got to meet so many new people as well. Especially those who came up to me because they saw that I was in the 501st. It was just so heart-warming and cool to see and experience that level of excitement in people's faces. I can't wait to do it all again!

The Buzz droid is coming along well. This week has not been a great week for painting (thanks to Florida weather). But I was able to get the body painted because I'm impatient and make poor painting decisions. I must've gotten lucky 😅
I also did a lot of prep work throughout the week on this guy and the BD-1 that I'm working on. There's always a trade-off!
I look forward to making a video for this guy when I have the time.

Finished The Resistor Spark Pad from the Mandalorian! It's probably one of my favorite one day builds that I've done 😄 I absolutely loved that episode, but probably because I love droids 😅 hugely, thank you to @bigfreds_customs for making an excellent model!

How many pieces go into a Buzz Droid? Quite a bit (swipe left). Not as many as a B1, but definitely not a handful. Finally got his legs attached, and I'm extremely happy that he can hold his own weight. Now that I have an idea on what he looks like assembled, it's time to start the prepping process. You know, the "fun" part.

Another side project that I'm working on alongside a BD-1 commission for a previous customer. The Buzz Droids were some of my favorite droids back in the prequels, and just like the B1, I've always wanted one. Thanks to @droiddivision , he's made not only one of my favorite droids possible, but multiple. I look forward to sharing the progress of this project with y'all!

Thank you, everyone, for the positive feedback and critiques on this sign. I really do appreciate it. I ended up taking off the letters in the mesh area, added some surface rust detail and texture, and I like it way more. I look forward to hanging this up in my cube at work 😄
