Proud and excited to share this ✨

My short film KASE CHENN is available to stream until Feb. 21th at the Toronto Black Film Festival (tickets in bio).

KASE CHENN is a personal thought process. A celebration of Haitian cultural heritage ❤️

This film is very close to my heart because it is the first one I ever made/directed. With this film, I wanted to showcase that we, Haitians, as a nation, as a people, need to break down the stereotypes that bind us. We must embrace, celebrate and accept every part of our culture left to us by our ancestors.

2022, what a year! It was filled with moments of joy, laughter, new experiences, opportunities, connections, creativity and growth 💕

But let’s be honest, there were also challenges, moments of self-doubt, self-reflection, tears… it taught me to keep going, cherish the memories, recognize and appreciate all the incredible things I have done so far. I’m grateful for the lessons and blessings. Grateful for everyone who was a part of it and guided me ❤️

Here’s to learning, growth and reaching for my dreams. I’m looking at 2023 with hope, excitement, working on new projects and being able to do what I love.

Happy New Year ✨ by @nitsem
