Bikes n Boats. Probably the best two ways to travel da UP. The third is with Jenna. Following the most heart warming weekend in TC celebrating our marriage, we set our sights North. We ended up biking on more than one island, paddling in more than one bay, and sitting on more than one beach. These days are magical! by @niwolv

We just wrapped up an incredible backpacking trip with a group of teens who showed up with generosity, curiosity, and grit every single day. Over 5 days, they hiked 29.1 miles, climbed 3,632 ft, and tackled every challenge with courage and joy.

But the numbers don’t tell the full story. What stood out the most were the friendships formed, the laughter shared around campfires, the deep conversations under the stars, and the moments of teamwork that made this experience unforgettable.

This is what Fun Hog Adventures is all about — finding the fun in challenge and the growth in every step.

Last week in the classroom, this group set off on a mission to summit at least one 14er. During the first attempt, the morning fog and clouds grew to occupy the entire sky until it rained cats and dogs on us as we retreated. Although the weather was a challenge (along with the altitude and miles and vertical and etc.) we still had a third of our group that powered through the 50mph winds preceding the storm to stand atop Mt. Belford. Before we attempted Grays and Torreys we spent a day at the Mount Princeton hot spring to revive our stoke and soak our sore muscles. Finally, with great determination we approached the Grays Pk trailhead before sunrise. We powered through this hike having every student, chaperone, and teacher summit this 14er! Some had gas left in the tank and tackled Torreys 14er summit too. It wasn’t about the summits, we learned what it takes to arrive there! 🌀 polaris_expeditionary @polarisoutdoorleadership and aaronwiesner87 made it possible. taken in Mount Belford by @niwolv

The Grand Teton’s Exum Ridge - woah. Tent to tent from 2:30AM to 9PM made for a mega day in the Teton NP alpine. We pushed hard to tackle all 10+ pitches but had to bail 150ft from the top to avoid getting caught after sunset on the mountain. Our tent made for a better place to spend the night! 🗿🌀⛰️ by @niwolv

Smashing waves -and- Smashing through the last days of the school year with my students at Polaris Expeditionary Learning School. We partnered with @rockymtnadventures to gain skills from zero to hero on the spring whitewater flows in the Poudre Canyon. Complete with plenty of laughing, learning, a few swims, a night of camping, a beautiful rendition of Wagon Wheel, and forever expanding comfort zones. That’s what we’re all about!
