New bio, who dis 🤓 seriously though, after over a decade on the platform I thought it would be a good idea to give you a good introduction of me, from a panel I did about user privacy.

The geek community saved my life when I lost my career. I was on track to be a SWAT team operative - A hostage negotiator. Then suddenly I developed anxiety and a panic disorder and it flipped my world upside-down. 😢

I felt alone, didn't understand what was happening to me. I had to drop from my classes, and reconsider my entire life path. I started playing games online, and from there found a small geeky community who helped pull me out of the darkness. They encouraged me to take a different path, of content creation. 📷

Before you knew it I was on Youtube before it was cool. Filled with hope again, all thanks to my little online nerd group. 12 years later I paid it forward by making a nerdy community of my own, @geekbeacon

💡We're a guiding light for mutual support, conversation, and finding our people. We grew to over 6,500 strong in our Discord! From that came Squirrel Army, our neurodiversity subgroup.

🤓 When traditional education and the system can't understand or take care of us - WE will take care of us. Squirrel Army is where you can find people who can relate to your experience, where we can all help each other move forward using what we’ve learned.

respect root! Deleting your OS shouldn’t kill physical hardware, yet here we are. 🙄
In 2016, running rm -rf / wiped UEFI NVRAM variables right along with root. Linux took the blame, but the real culprit was fragile vendor firmware that panicked and bricked instead of resetting to defaults... 100%
