Some of you have known me as Chef for years. And that name isn’t going anywhere.

But I’ve been finding a new voice in my music lately, and with it, a name that feels right.

NIYI.

I wrote, produced and recorded this song a couple of days ago, and I’ve barely stopped listening to it since.

This is “Tenderly Bittersweet”.

A little introduction to NIYI.

29. Thank God.
I’ve learned a lot but I’m still learning.
Grown a lot but I’m still growing.
Healed a lot but I’m still healing.
Become a lot but I’m still becoming.

And it’s all in God’s hands. by @niyibrown

A few moments of mine by @niyibrown

Between Gratitude and Gravity.

Life keeps teaching me that both gratitude and gravity can live in the same day.
Sorrow with joy.
Hope with surrender.
The steady with the unexpected.

Some moments ask for stillness.
Some moments ask for laughter.
I am learning to let both shape me.

Somehow, they work together.
Somehow, both sides pull me forward.
And somehow, I keep finding God even in that narrow space
between gratitude and gravity.

28. Jusqu’ici tout va bien!

I’m happy to be alive.
I’m grateful for another year.
I’m looking forward to so much more.

God is good!
It is my prayer that my life will continue to be a testament to His goodness and a beacon for His light.

Father and Son night! Hosted by @northandnavy and made possible by Mike @inhauscooking

Throwback to one of the most memorable dining experiences that both my dad and I have ever had.
We were in excellent hands with Gabi, our server, whose exceptional service truly defined the experience.
I’m glad we were able to sit at the chef’s pass to witness all the action! It was my dad’s first time truly experiencing my world from the front and the back of house.
Many, many, many thanks to chef Eric for telling us his story, walking us through his ideas, thought processes and even graciously giving us a tour of the kitchen and curing room! It was tremendously cool to get to see some of the little secret culinary experiments he was working on.

All fresh ingredients, fresh ideas, fresh vibes from start to finish.
What a night!
