If I were asked right now, “What makes a good father?”
I’d say he is a selfless soul,
Who makes his family’s peace his goal.
A man who sees no fault or blame,
Who loves his children just the same,
And bears the weight of every care
With smiles to mask the heavy air.
He guides his children’s steps with gentle correction,
And pours out deep, unfeigned affection.
My father, Rancy Kaizer, stands
With steady heart and loving hands.
On your special natal day,
There are so many things I’d like to say:
Thank you, Dad, for all you do,
For seeing me and valuing me too.
I still remember, sharp and clear,
Those lean and heavy-hearted years—
How you would walk so far to work,
Through bitter cold and blinding dirt,
Just so your children could be fed,
With shoes worn thin, but spirit led.
You sacrificed your comfort then,
To give us hope, time and again.
In all this world, it’s true and clear,
You are my support so dear, Dad.
You are my strength, my first true love,
A blessing sent from up above.
When heavy trials block my view,
I find my power in thinking of you;
I lift my chin, I face the storm,
Kept by your courage, safe and warm.
You taught my voice to speak its mind,
To stand for truth, yet remain kind.
I hold our yesterdays so tight,
A childhood filled with pure delight.

Now as this new chapter starts for you,
I pray God blesses all you do.
May love surround your path each day,
And keep you healthy, strong, and grey.
I want to thrive, to rise, to grow,
To make you proud before you go.
I love you more than words can say,
