Come help prepare our garden! 🪏 🪏🪏

Summer is coming to an end and sadly so is the warmth that has let our garden blossom these last few months. 😔
So now is the time to prep our garden beds for the coming frost! Come by, be part of the community, and gain service hours!

Checking in on NJIT’s community garden. Shout out @njitsustainability, @njit_communitygarden and @njitgreen as well as any orgs I might not be aware of that also contributed to this effort. #sustainability #communitygarden #rooftopgarden #njitwellness by @njit_communitygarden

Some fall planting from our friends at @njitgreen

It’s great to know that even as the weather grows colder our garden will still have some life!

Weather’s turning colder and we’re preparing for our next planting season with help from our friends @njitgreen !
Saving these seeds means preserving our current garden and hopefully seeing more of these successfully grown plants.

Come! Come!

Some of our plants are ready to be picked, so please take what you need. Please be mindful of other people who may also want to pick!
We’re so excited to see the fruits of our garden and we want to share it with you!

Some photos from our first day back on campus!

For reference on how much our plants have grown, the person on the final slide is 5’2” (5’4 with the shoes in the photo)

So many of our plants look ripe for the picking so hopefully we can harvest sometime in the near future!

Have I mentioned we’ve gotten huge?

Some of our plants have not stopped growing!

POV You’re a Bee 🐝🐝

(Minus the UV Vision)

But seriously, we’re loving all of the flowers we have and all of the pollinators that are coming to the garden to sample them!
