Some great work on display from our New Jersey officials who traveled to Frisco, TX to participate in the MLS Next Flex event, with teams from all around the country competing for a spot at this year’s playoffs. This means our officials participated in high level games with high stakes where they can learn from their peers, mentors, and coaches and grow!

Great work to these officials and thank you for always representing NJ proudly! 💛 @rise__officials

New Jersey Youth Soccer proudly recognizes two outstanding young officials as our 2025 Youth Referees of the Year in Jullianna Carroll and Alexander Wang. Jullianna and Alexander were recently honored during the NJYS Awards Celebration Presented by @rwjbarnabas_health at @americandream.

Selected by @njrefs, the NJYS Youth Referee of the Year Award honors young referees who demonstrate exceptional officiating performance, a strong work ethic, and a deep commitment to promoting fair play and sportsmanship throughout the game.

Jullianna Carroll has quickly established herself as a promising young referee, officiating 14U NJYS State Cup matches and high-level youth tournaments across New Jersey. Her selection to referee the 13U Girls National Championship Series Final at the NJYS State Cup reflects both her growing experience and dedication to the sport.

Alexander Wang has earned recognition through consistent excellence and leadership on the field, taking charge of multiple 18/19U NJYS State Cup matches. His accomplishments extend beyond the state level, representing New Jersey at the @usyouthsoccer Regionals and Eastern Presidents Cup before being selected to officiate at both the USYS National Championship Finals and USYS Presidents Cup National Finals.

We want to extend our congratulations to Jullianna and Alexander for their outstanding achievements and continued commitment to the game. Officials like them play a vital role in creating a positive environment for players, coaches, and families while helping uphold the integrity of soccer across our state. 🙌🏻
