Un messaggio da Gaza ai popoli liberi del mondo «Vi saluto tutti e vi ringrazio per il sostegno e l'attenzione che dedicate alla nostra causa.

Sono qui davanti a voi oggi non per chiedere pietà, ma per parlarvi con la voce della verità, dal cuore di Gaza, da sotto le macerie e nel mezzo della nostra lotta quotidiana.

Forse ci vedete attraverso gli schermi, come numeri nei notiziari o come immagini di case distrutte. Ma voglio dirvi una cosa: non siamo soltanto storie di dolore. Siamo esseri umani che amano la vita, che sognano, che hanno un'anima e dei figli che meritano di crescere nella sicurezza e nella pace, proprio come tutti i bambini del mondo.

Abbiamo vissuto, e continuiamo a vivere, le prove più dure della perdita, del dolore e dello sfollamento. Ma non abbiamo perso la nostra umanità, né abbiamo smesso di credere nel nostro diritto di vivere sulla nostra terra, con dignità e libertà.

Il messaggio che vi rivolgo oggi arriva da un'amica che si trova lì e da ogni madre, sorella e giovane donna di Gaza:

For Sale in aid of @njt.t2 and her family living in Gaza. Najat is a nurse and a friend who qualified as a nurse on October 6th 2023. She’s a beautiful human who uses her talent as a volunteer nurse in a clinic for mothers and babies and has set up @smile.-.Gaza a grassroots organisation to help provide activities and fun for the children of gazas camps.

These beautiful original vintage botanical bookplates are from a 1956 edition of a book called Roses 2 which was illustrated by Pierre-Joseph Redouté. They are also extra large and ideal for framing at 30 x 40 cm.

“Napoleon Bonaparte, a frequent visitor to Redouté’s studio, once expressed his disappointment and astonishment that a painter so
gifted should waste his time in painting roses instead of recording the great events of history. Yet Redouté, by the publication of Les Liliacees and Les Roses, was
himself to make history in the world of botanical Art”.

Selling all 15 bookplates at a cost of £20 each including free UK postage which I’m happy to cover as a contribution to the fund. Happy to send aboard but postage will need to be covered.

The largest funeral... and the undying witness.

The bodies of 112 martyrs were recovered from the rubble, out of a total of 308. Civil defense teams are still unable to reach the remaining victims due to the harsh field conditions. 💔💔
