Ilyen volt a Mocskos Idők a Dugattyúsban.
A Mocskos Idők egy dokumentarista stílusú fotókiállítás és a képekhez kapcsolódó storytelling a magyar és általánosságban az európai graffiti / street art tündöklő korszakából, 1998-tól 2010-ig bezárólag. A kiállítás erre a korszakra és hangulatra fókuszál ahol a szereplők a vad, szabad és utcai aktivitásban gazdag életet éltek. Egy nehezen kutatható, töredékesen dokumentált szubkultúra mindennapjait mutatja meg belülről.

This is what Mocskos Idők was like at Dugattyús.
Mocskos Idők is a documentary-style photography exhibition accompanied by storytelling connected to the images, focusing on the golden era of Hungarian and European graffiti and street art, spanning from 1998 to 2010.
The exhibition captures the era and its atmosphere, a time when its protagonists lived a wild, free, and intensely street-oriented life. It offers an inside look at the everyday reality of a subculture that is difficult to research and only partially documented.

A graffiti festők mindig gondosan megörökítik munkáikat, amit annak idején amikor analóg géppel fotóztunk, rendesen beragasztottunk egy-egy tematikus fotóalbumba. És mivel analóggal fotóztunk, az előhívás folyamata, az ezzel járó költségek és persze a bizonyítékok miatt a tartalom szinte kizárólag a kész graffitikre összpontosult. Éppen ezért a legizgalmasabb történésekről, mint pl ahogyan festeni megyünk, a vonat mellett várakozunk vagy éppen magáról az akcióról, sokáig szinte semmi dokumentum nem maradt. 2005-től váltottam digitális fotózásra és ennek határtalan szabadsága már megengedte hogy szinte minden olyat megörökítsek ami körülöttem történt. A kiállított válogatás és a hozzá kapcsolódó történetek egy vad és zabolázatlan korszak javának és utolsó éveinek dokumentációja. Nem kiemelkedően jó képek és történetek, de nem is akar az lenni, éppen elég kiválóak ahhoz hogy betekintést nyerjünk ezekbe az őrült évekbe egy valódi résztvevő szemein keresztül.

Graffiti artists have always carefully documented their work. Back when we were shooting on analogue cameras, we would properly glue the prints into thematic photo albums. And because we were working with analogue photography, the developing process, the costs involved, and, of course, the need to keep the evidence meant that the content focused almost exclusively on the finished graffiti pieces.
As a result, for a long time there was almost no documentation of the most exciting moments such as going out to paint, waiting beside the tracks for a train, or the action itself.
In 2005, I switched to digital photography, and the boundless freedom it offered finally made it possible for me to capture almost everything happening around me. The selection on display, together with the stories accompanying it, documents much of and the final years of a wild and untamed era.
These are not exceptional photographs or extraordinary stories, nor are they meant to be. They are simply good enough to offer a glimpse into those crazy years through the eyes of someone who was genuinely there.
