“how lucky i am to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard” -winnie the pooh

saying goodbye to dance in this capacity and to imprint dance co is the hardest goodbye i’ve had to face. the last 16 years of memories, dances, competitions, conventions, recitals, and both good and bad practices have given me more than i could’ve ever asked for. dance isn’t just a past time, it’s a sport, a team, and a forever family that has raised me and showed me that anything is possible. dance is all i’ve ever known. through injury, heartbreak, pain, happiness, growth, anger, and every emotion in between i’ve always had dance and i’ve always imprint. walking into @imprintdanceco was never like walking into just a dance studio, it was walking into a space that felt like home filled with mentors and dancers that have forever left a lasting impression on me.

to ms. crystal, thank you for always believing in me, and for never giving up on me even when i wanted to give up on myself. your constant support and love has always given me the strength to push through even my hardest times on and off the stage.

to ms. jazzae thank you for pushing me to accomplish things i never thought were possible, your tough love has taught me so much discipline and patience and truly shaped me into the dancer and person i am today.

to my idc family, i will never forget you. i will forever miss all my littles just as much as i miss those who inspired and came before me. i will never stop rooting for imprint dance company and all the amazing dancers that are so lucky to call the most beautiful studio home.

although i may have no idea what im going to do without my dance people and this aspect of my life, i am at peace knowing dance has shaped me into who i am today and taught me life lessons i will never forget. it may look different now, but dance will forever be a part of my life and my journey. i am incredibly proud and grateful to be graduating from imprint dance company after the best 7 years imaginable. 💚 by @nktamminga

happy mother’s day to the one and only. thank you for all you do…

raising me has not been easy, let alone doing it alone, but over the past almost 18 years if there’s one thing i’ve learned about my mother it’s that she can do anything. my mother isn’t one to be loud about her achievements but trust me there are many. she is resilient, intelligent, and beautiful inside and out.

today my mom will watch me step onto a competition stage for the last time.

so to my mamí, know this last dance is dedicated to you. dedicated to your strength and your power. as i face “the final curtain” know i could have never done it without you and im greatful for every moment, good or bad, that has led us to now. i love you endlessly and thank you for always wearing the heaviest crown of them all. 🤍🧡 by @nktamminga
