I can’t forget this woman.
We came to evacuate her from the front line.
She was lying on a couch – a skeleton wrapped in skin, her back decaying, without strength, without hope.
Her son Andriy sat beside her and quietly said: “We don’t want to leave our home.”

When the medics took her away, he just sat next to the couch and didn’t move.

A week later, she was gone.
A month later, the town was occupied by the russian army.

War doesn’t always kill with bullets.
Sometimes, it simply drains the life from within.

One person was killed at the site. Patients and medical staff inside the maternity hospital were not injured – they had been sheltering during the attack.

Across Kyiv, two people were killed and at least eight were injured in the overnight attack.

Morning in Kyiv after a massive missile and drone attack.

On the night of June 15, Russia launched another attack on Kyiv, damaging the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra (a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Ukraine’s oldest and most significant religious sites) and the Mystetskyi Arsenal, two prominent landmarks located side by side in the city center.

The roof of the Dormition Cathedral on the Lavra grounds caught fire during the attack, while a separate fire broke out at the Mystetskyi Arsenal. By morning, emergency crews were still working at the scene, smoke lingered over the area, and residents were coming to terms with the aftermath of another night under attack.

Another morning in Kyiv after a massive Russian missile and drone attack.

Residential buildings across the city were damaged and destroyed. Emergency crews worked through the morning, searching through the rubble and responding to the aftermath of the overnight attack.
