Hello! We’ve grown a lot in the past few months, so we wanted to take a moment to re-introduce ourselves!

We’re the Northern Lights, a supporters’ group dedicated to the #CANWNT/#CANXNT and Canadian women’s soccer. We launched just over a year ago to support our players, provide safe, inclusive spaces for fans to connect, and help build women’s soccer supporters culture across Canada for all levels of the game.

We run a Discord server (link in our bio to join!) for fans of the team and woso to bond, host virtual and in-person watch parties for CANXNT games across the country, amplify Canadian women’s soccer and run a calendar with @wsoccer.ca that tracks every CANXNT players’ club games to make it easier to watch than ever (that link is also in our bio)! We’re also just getting started! We’re working on expanding our community presence, planning events/initiatives and gearing up for the @NorthernSuperLeague to start!

We wanted a name that represented Canada’s diversity and unity from coast to coast to coast. Hence, the Northern Lights SG.

If this sounds like your jam, follow us everywhere at @NLights_SG and join our Discord community! As the women’s sports saying goes, “It’s a movement, not a moment”. 😎

We’re thrilled to announce that we’re joining @prideraiser this year– a powerful initiative where supporters’ groups across North America raise funds for LGBTQ+ causes during the October international window. For the CANXNT’s next two matches vs Denmark on October 9th and 12th, we’re raising money for @egalecanada, Canada’s leading organization for 2SLGBTQI people and issues. Pledge a donation for every goal scored and every clean sheet our team earns during the campaign, and help improve and save lives through research, education, awareness, and advocacy for human rights and equality in Canada and around the world.

Ready to join us?! Click the link in our bio to make your pledges! How much is entirely up to you, and once the campaign ends, Prideraiser will send you a reminder with a link to donate directly to Egale.

Let’s stand together and help make sports safer for the LGBTQ+ community! ❤️⚽
