POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

I had the great pleasure of visiting my shortlisted Nat Geo photo on public display in Kings Cross, London last week. An unforgettable experience! I’ve got to say, the image has printed really well! It’s so rich and vibrant, I should print my photos more often…
.
Thanks to @benrowephotos @natgeotraveluk for celebrating photography in a world where it’s so easily forgotten. The public display was wonderful, im inspired to have more experiences like this 😁 taken in Granary Square, King's Cross by @nlsnworks

Re-editing my NatGeo picture, why?
1) I can now post in 4x3, which is the images original aspect ratio
2) I now use Lightroom Classic, and it’s just so much better to refine the small details!
3) I got the original printed and framed, it’s so amazing to see a physical print of your favourite photos
4) Original at the end, to see the effect is SOC

Abstract expressions | TOKYO.
I find myself, finding my photographic identity. Non traditional street photography, vibrant, complex, chaos. Something that deserved to be printed and observed. Im on my way.
.
Creating abstract artwork from my photos helps me to differentiate, but more importantly, bring back the curiosity and wonder that I experienced when I first found photography.

Oxford, UK | Blessed with vibrant subjects in this location. Once again a hand held quadruple exposure, this time, a man training his dog.

Landscape is best ✨ A 7 hour round trip to capture the Milky Way and meteor showers. I didn’t get those, but I did shoot this. Worth it!

Close to home, but it took me 8 years to find. I discovered this tree on a walk when I was dealing with the most profound grief. It’s now a place of serenity. Im lucky, I get to see this tree in the most beautiful light, its backlit sunset is like a meditation. Moments shared with my dog, my family, good memories, and many more to come, while remembering the loss I encountered in a better light.
.
I can’t wait to shoot this across multiple seasons

My portfolio site is live! Nlsnworks.com
.
I love sharing my work with the world, and this is where I take control and show my best. Until today, the only permanent home for my photos online was Instagram, my best work, mixed with photos that I simply enjoyed taking, and no control over how Instagram may choose to display it in the future. My website is the home of my portfolio. Check it out and let me know your thoughts!
