Our first food drive was a success.
Thanks to the generous donations from our followers we were able to partner up with @tgsandcompany for over 100 cold cut sandwiches. Despite the rain we were able to serve the downtown area of Toronto.

Toronto’s housing market poses significant challenges. In 2023, the vacancy rate for apartments was 1.4%, with average monthly rents at $1,427 for bachelor units, $1,708 for one-bedroom, and $1,990 for two-bedroom apartments . These high costs, coupled with limited affordable housing options, contribute to housing instability.

Health concerns are prevalent among the homeless population. In the first half of 2024, there were 135 reported deaths among people experiencing homelessness in Toronto, averaging over five deaths per week. The median age at death was 50, with acute drug toxicity accounting for 54% of these deaths.

homelessness in downtown Toronto persists as a pressing issue, necessitating continued collaboration between government agencies, community organizations, and the public to develop sustainable solutions.

That’s where NMHB.Co comes in, we can’t rely on this current government to ACTUALLY make a difference. They’ve proven through 10 years of wasteful tax payer spending they don’t care if Canadians starve.

NMHB isn’t just a charity, it’s a movement. It’s a place for people who want to make a difference. This isn’t a platform for virtue signalling, empty self righteous posts with no action. This is a place where if you feel frustrated by the current state of Canada you can roll up your sleeves and get to work, one good deed at a time.
I am tired of watching my city, province and country deteriorate right before my eyes, so instead of talking about it I decided to be about it. What we did here today is the bare minimum. I’ve got some big plans and ideas coming soon, so if you’re someone who ACTUALLY wants to make a difference, stay tuned.

Next Saturday at 1:30PM some volunteers and I will be walking the streets of downtown Toronto giving out cold cut sandwiches provided by @tgsandcompany. Help us raise more funds for less hungry bellies.
Also we have a sponsor veterinarian that is willing to help homeless animals.

Our first ever outreach program got us in touch with Ebrima. A young man from Gambia west Africa🇬🇲 with the support of people, donations started to come in and we were able to help Ebrima get a bag of rice and some food for his family. We’re looking forward to staying in touch with Ebrima and further blessing him with basic living necessities we in the western world take for granted every day.
