Throughout the countless jerseys, teams,
tears and injuries soccer has always been the only constant thing in my life. I haven’t known a life without soccer, I was given a ball before I could even talk, never did I expect to be saying goodbye. It’s been a space to forget about what’s really going on for 90 minutes and just do what I love.

Saying goodbye to the sport that has given me some of my best friends, mentors and an outlet to let go and be myself is something I never imagined doing. Soccer has always been so much more than a game, it’s been a way to connect with my family, to express myself, and has taught me so many lessons.

Thank you to my mom and nanny for all the support and sacrifices you have made throughout the years. Thank you Sofia, Lucas and Maia for being my biggest supporters, you’re my why. Thank you to my papai for sharing your love of soccer with me and giving me a ball before I could even walk (literally). You will always be the best Coach I could have asked for.

I would do anything to be able to experience it all for just 1 more minute. Thank you soccer for the best 16 years❤️ by @nmorais115
