We’re celebrating incredible women in our community, and asking about the traditions and wellness rituals that shape their Lunar New Year.

Today, we’re highlighing @nneale, the founder of @littlemtnshop

“My uncle and I host our annual Lunar New Year celebration at his studio for our friends and family. It’s held during the Chinatown Spring Festival Parade and our guests can watch the parade from the studio. We do a big shopping haul of Chinese snacks and sweet treats for everyone to enjoy and take part in the celebrations.” taken in Vancouver, British Columbia by @nneale

I don’t know the story of their date, but that was a bold move to have NYE as a first date. However for a Leo and Sag—just fire signs wanting to have fun—it makes sense that these two holiday romantics would get together to celebrate.

Maybe I should find myself a Leo date for tonight to keep the tradition going?

Happy New Year’s Eve ✨ 2024 was bumpy, but I’m grateful for every moment.

This photo isn’t of that first date, this was years later and I’m not sure what the occasion was, but I have my mums gorgeous gold dress hanging in my closet. It doesn’t fit me, but is a stunning work of art. by @nneale

29 years ago Virginia left this world and 6 months ago Roger joined her. They are back together again — as forever friends ♥️

Didn’t make a holiday card in time for xmas, but then I was looking through old cards today and was inspired to recreate my holiday card from last year, this time featuring a vintage photo of both of my parents. Notes from dad are extra special now with this being the first holiday season without him ♥️ by @nneale

My favourite time of the year! The preparations, auspicious traditions, red + gold, lai see, family, food, treats, lion dancing — I love everything about Lunar New Year 🧧

I’m grateful that I also get to continue to celebrate CNY/LNY with my uncle @therealpaulwong who took me to the parade every year when I was little and now we’re back hosting our friends + family together in his Chinatown studio 🍊

Thinking of her today and how much I am like her. How even though I didn’t have the chance to get to know her very well, I somehow am so similar to her and followed her path in many ways.

I found the eulogy from my mum’s memorial service 28 years ago. I’m thankful my dad saved it in a file for me as a keepsake, as I was only 11 when I heard those words, but have no memory of them being spoken.
