Belbi (54). A refugee who left Honduras five years ago due to gang violence. He was out looking for work— immigration paperwork in hand.

We talked for the better part of a half hour. He parted into the shop we stood outside of for a job interview; I walked back to Coffee Fest to attend more seminars.

Just before making it up the show floor I met Alejandro, an international marketer selling green coffee from Honduras.

The first time I ever heard of Kai was when I dove into the Black w/ No Cream archive. Coincidentally, the first time I saw IF in person was also coffee related (Coffee Fest).

Marcos. Mexicano del estado de Oaxaca haciendo fotografía de calle en Los Ángeles.

I met Marcos during Coffee Fest when I stepped out of the convention center during a gap in seminars. Caught him as he was getting set to shoot and record for his YouTube channel. I’m subscribed and looking forward to seeing how far he takes it.

Handing this print to Jorge last night was cool. But it was cooler when he showed it to everyone in his line.
