Very intersting, albeit expensive. I particularly liked the bit about pigeons and the architecture of the actual house. After the war, it was taken over by GPO, and BT ran courses there until 1993.

A couple of brave souls this morning. The water never gets above 4° and can be colder. They weren't in very long.
Another boat trip this afternoon to see mountains and icebergs. We also tasted the water direct from the glacial waterfall and from the sea.

Late night boat trip, still not quite dark at gone 2200.
Ideal conditions for the Northern Lights if only I could use my phone camera properly. Bit of iceberg spotting too, quite alarming when one started to rise up out of the sea.

Attended the Nuuk International Film Festival, saw Shaped by Land, a short by an Alaskan director about one of only three native ski guides in Greenland and why there should be more.
Also North of the Storm about a Danish surfer dude and his mate who thought it would be a good idea to find some surfing in Greenland.
Both films had a Q&A afterwards all in English.
Amazing.

A walk around town this morning, past the Government offices, the Mother of the Sea statue and the Greenland museum followed by lunch in the cultural centre where its the Nuuk International Film Festival, its tenth year !
We also popped into the market for salmon, seal,seagull and reindeer but photos weren't allowed.

Five hour flight from Copenhagen over Shetland, the Faroes and Iceland.
Built for the environment, low buildings so some stick out, including the Nuuk Centre, the shopping centre in the main street.
Industry in many forms and an iceberg off the coast.

Continuing our tour of Copenhagen by boat, impressedby old and architecture and repurposing of buildings. The new opera house, the old torpedo shed.
