Rando mando on the hunt

I put together this knockoff slave one design like, eight months ago lol but it took me forEVER to find a color scheme and pilot I liked. Then I tried just stealing the absolutely awesome color scheme from that old luggabeast set, and I threw together this mando chick cause I LOVE this helmet, and man I think it really came together!

The gunship is kinda sick, there's actually a couple fun building techniques in there to get this fairly complex shape while still being SUPER sturdy, and those rotating wings work PERFECTLY just staying level all on their own

Plus for being thrown together in the fly I think this pilot got has a ton of personality, overall just pretty neat!

finally doing a @disturbingthepiecepod inspired build, I wanna thank those guys for reminding my about clone bases

This is the biggest location build I've ever done lmao, it was a lot of fun! I really like how this vader design fig turned out, and the legends style 501st commander is pretty neat too, plus finally a place to put this mouse droid lol

this took me SIX YEARS

I mean not literally this design obviously, but y'know, the concept. Ive been trying to put together a moc of this ship since I got back into playing with legos in 2020 and I've never managed to build one I was happy with

UNTIL NOW

It's ROCK solid like actually probably official set levels of sturdyness, it's got no ugly angles even the bottom is totally finished and looks good, and it fits basically any minifig you'd wanna put in it

Obi wan and the official grievous fig both fit perfectly, but most importantly to me this brick built grievous fig I made works too!

A really important part of moc making to me is that the stuff I share could feasibly be recreated by most people, and so for a while I was put off by the idea of making a soulless one moc when the only grievous figures out there all cost like thirty bucks. So I'm really really thrilled to be sharing builds for both the ship and the cool skeleton robot lightsaber guy that, combined, should cost around $27 for all the parts

That's about it really, there's nothing much to say about the build itself it's excruciatingly simple lol. Instructions are up on my rebrickable page as usual, links in the bio they're free go look at that if you want to

The thickest V19-Torrent you've ever seen

I like to think my building style often means my mocs are somewhat distinct, but in this case straight up I think I just made the most bizarre interpretation of this particular ship maybe ever lmao

Couldn't be happier with it really! It's super sturdy, it's super sleek, it's super small but imo still maintains an appropriate visual weight relatative to a minifig. You can pick it up basically however you want, that center wing holds itself up in landing position and studs into place in flying position and with some heavy landing supports to hold it in place on either side it's really stable in there

And look, you may think this looks bad, that's a matter of taste and it's totally fair. BUT, whether you love or hate the aesthetic choices, they're consistent from every angle. There's no camera unfriendly side not even looking straight up at it from the bottom! It's smoothed off and deliberately shaped all around, and I'm really proud of that

So, for once I'm actually just really curious to see what people think of this thing lmao. If you say you hate it I'll be mad obviously, but y'know not that mad, at the end of the day I like it and that's what matters lol

But seriously, if you make a joke about how Lego would sell this for $100 I will actually kill you

yeah I just think general grievous is neat

but I don't think his official fig is that neat, sadly, plus it costs like thirty bucks now :( that's too much money guys, so here look I made this one that should cost like, two bucks for the parts themselves? So yeah Im pretty excited to be sharing that, hope it makes somebody happy lol

Don't get me wrong this is a SUPER stylized figure as always so I know it won't be everyone's cup of tea, totally valid. But as usual, for my taste spent a lot of time to kering with designs till I found this one that I really, really like! I think the way it scales to minifigs is GREAT, it makes him the same height as a minifig but with a much heavier, more significant presence that the official fig, and for using no printed parts I think the suggested of the head is really strong which I'm proud of. I feel like this leans just a bit more towards the 2003 2d animated version of previous, maybe in vibes more than anything but that's enough for me

He's VERY sturdy by the way which was an absolute requirement for me, while as you can see remaining very posable, and shockingly easy to balance! Those bigass legs make walking poses really easy to make work so that's sick, and he's heavy enough you can do stuff like have him hold a droid in the air there. All in all a really fun fig to play with which is always the ultimate goal, so I'm calling this one a major win

Okay that's about it for me, expect to see more stuff featuring this brick built fig in the future cause I'm absolutely not done playing with it lol

Skakoan war crime lab

This one was of course just to show off this Skakoan minifig design that I think is really cool, but I like the mutated clone deal I threw together just for the lab scene too

And check out that lever, that's pretty neat right? Yeah playing with legos is fun, hot take there

Droid factory attactory

I'm having a lot of fun building little minifig scenes but I don't have many actual building block parts for buildings, so get ready for a lot of dark gray lmao

Someone else came up with that flipped shoulder armor for the geonosian and I'm mad I can't remember who cause it's really brilliant! With the addition of these wings which are absolutely perfect I really love this little bug guy

Just a real clean little speedboat starfighter today

This is another build that took heavy inspiration from an existing ship, but the source on this is extremely obscure lol. I'll be very impressed if anyone recognizes it

This build is honestly so simple I barely have anything to say about it, there's not even a hint of anything fancy here it's literally just stacked plates and bricks and I think it's cool

I do also like this Mando minifig though, that helmet is just so cool, and I think the torso matches it really well while giving it a super fitting racecar driver vibe. She might show up again in another post, we'll see

Another SUPER original design here today

Obviously I took a lot of inspiration from the magnaguard starfighter because it's awesome, super cool ship there, but I like to think I still brought some neat ideas of my own here. In particular I think the exhaust thingies on top in in the green half circles are pretty cool, and that thruster design was fun to put together. Not to mention how clever I felt attaching those big wing pieces. They're super solid, the whole build is basically a brick it's great

The ship kind of evokes a pontoon or airboat to me, so I gave it a sort of hutt clan looking color scheme to match and put in this sort of aqualish looking pilot, maybe a bounty hunter for crime lords on nar shaddaa

This went though a ton of tweaking but I love the result, happy to finally be sharing it! If you like it too there's instructions on my rebrickable page, links in my bio. I feel like this one would be particularly fun to do recolors of, so I guess if you build your own version share it with me lol, I love seeing that shit

Eta 5 Inquisitor interceptor

this does NOT count as a Jedi interceptor post ok ITS A DIFFERENT THING it just looks similar to the thing I've built a billion times already

The main difference is this is a better toy lol,it's extraordinarily sturdy and there's a shocking amount of room for its minifig pilot. Look at that inquisitor, they've got shoulder armor and can still sit straight up! Also the astromech head rotates and those S fouls are super solid

I'm also just a little proud of using those 1x2 bricks with a groove down the middle for the sides there to make the seam between the S foils blend in better with the rest of the body

Alright that's it, I had a lot of fun making this sooo I hope some of you enjoy it too
