I visited this Vietnamese 🇻🇳 restaurant over the weekend. The menu calls this dish ”Hanoi-style spicy pho.“ I’m not sure if it’s the traditional version, but the broth was fragrant and spicy, and the rice noodles had a great, springy texture—I was very satisfied! 👍

Philadelphia has a Chinatown, so naturally, I went to check it out and have dinner. I chose this Lanzhou-style hand-pulled noodle restaurant 🍜, which offers a wide variety of noodle dishes. I ordered a bowl of lamb braised noodles; just adding a little chili oil and vinegar made it absolutely satisfying 👍

I’ve been pretty busy lately and haven‘t had time to go anywhere special for a good meal, so I’ll keep sharing what I get at the company cafeteria. Sometimes they serve American-style Chinese food, which makes me happy! This bowl of tossed noodles with vegetables is aromatic and has a great, springy texture—honestly delicious for cafeteria-standard noodles 👍

The Japanese-style ramen I bought at the company cafeteria 🍜 might not quite match what you’d get in Japan, but the noodles have a great springy texture, and the chashu is tender and flavorful. For cafeteria-standard ramen, it’s actually really good 👌
