Come spend some time with Craig Clements’ paintings tomorrow.

Abstract forms mix with bits of daily life, dreams, casual glimpses, and references to the body, weaving in and out of each piece.

See what you make of them.

Open 10–4.

Craig Clements is an Ohio-based painter whose work moves fluidly between abstraction and representation. Drawn to what he describes as "plastic, fluid form," disrupted pattern, and an "awkward rawness," Clements builds paintings where familiar imagery, landscape, and the figure emerge from richly layered compositions.

Drawing from a wide range of historical and contemporary influences—including the Chicago Imagists, German Expressionism, and beyond— his work balances structure with spontaneity. Many of his ideas begin with dreams, fleeting observations, or partially perceived images, allowing each painting to unfold through intuition and discovery. taken in No Instructions Gallery by @no_instructs

Join us Friday for the opening reception of Stuck on a Puzzle - a solo show of paintings and sculpture by Ohio-based artist Craig Clements.
We are welcoming Craig to the gallery tomorrow night and would love for you to stop in and say hi!

Free floating between abstraction and figuration, Craig’s paintings constantly offer up the unexpected, surprises and new formal relationships each time you view them. So happy to bring the work to the gallery this weekend!

Awkward, raw, quirky, expressive, painterly – lots of ways to attempt to summarize Craig's work – best to just figure them out for yourself.

We hope you'll join us this coming Friday for the opening of Craig Clements' solo exhibit, 'Stuck on a Puzzle'.
