When Darkness Departs
9/18/26

There were Rats
Dismantling of their nest
As darkness came on
There were birds
At night
Hummingbirds too
A buck hanging dead
From the wire of a hay bail
Black kitty in the flower bed
Not my cat but a welcome guest
The hunter
Crescent moon
In smoky golden light
Air went cold in a warm space
Not a breeze but a presence
When darkness departs by @no_thing2small

Together ~ Slow Down ~ This was a happy accident photo. I clipped a couple blossoms in the Sound Garden, @sudhutewari called me over to help with breaking out his new bells, I tossed the clippers and blossoms down and when I came back… 🧡🧡🧡. Thank you garden! Thank you Sudhu, for making life amazing for so many!!! by @no_thing2small

“Choosing Space”
Even among the weeds…
There is a place to sit.
Not my weeds.
Not today.
Two benches.
From this one, I am a witness.
Loving you through it all.
I choose space.

“In The Direction of Cleansing & Clarity” ~ If dark and murky waters visit the heart of you, may too the cleansing and clear share your path so this clarity will continue to flow towards and around those near and dear, as well as far and unknown to you. by @no_thing2small

“Shhhh” ~ Debris, debris, debris…too fast? Too much? Too many? Time for the speed of tree, speed of stone. Not forever, maybe just for moments, a day or few. The rock is the clock. 🤍 I feel this in my bones. To say, whisper, with closed eyes and a smile, “Shhhh”. Not to you, or them but maybe to my dear soul? Not to withhold, I restrain…pause to gather my heart and remember…oh yes…hello squirrel, crow, butterfly, fragrant lavender, juicy fallen apricot, sweet smile of Sudhu. @sudhutewari by @no_thing2small

Grateful beyond measure. An artist of living, being and great heart. Honored to have you by my side and always a steady voice in my heart, Dale. 🧡 I couldn’t have imagined a more clear, discerning, direct and compassionate teacher, mentor and dear friend. Congratulations on getting this book out there too! @livingdyingproject @livingdyingproject by @no_thing2small
