Today I have found out that this beautiful film by Tran Anh Hung is on the pre selection to represent us at the Oscars ! Who knows… This film was a wonderful delicate poetic and a human adventure and I was so honored to design makeup for this film ! @premierefr [Couv digitale] “On n’est pas là pour démocratiser la Comédie-Française, on veut juste faire rire”

Paris, 37°, un hôtel près des Champs Elysées : en pleine canicule, Première s’est entretenu avec Pauline Clément “de la Comédie-Française”, l’actrice principale, et les deux réalisateurs Bertrand Usclat et Martin Darondeau, quelques semaines avant la sortie de “De la Comédie-Française”.

Cette comédie irrésistible récompensée au dernier Festival de l’Alpe d’Huez, à voir dès maintenant au cinéma, suit la préparation chaotique d’une représentation de Macbeth, entre retards, coups de stress, problèmes techniques et problèmes d’égo. Avec bien sûr des vrais pensionnaires du “Français” au casting : Laurent Stocker, Julien Frison, Marina Hands, Guillaume Gallienne, Benjamin Lavernhe...

Le trio nous raconte la genèse de ce projet atypique, qui nous plonge à travers la fiction dans les coulisses de l’institution fondée en 1680 :

“En vérité, nous n’avons pas vraiment choisi le sujet. Il est un peu arrivé à nous. On travaille ensemble avec Martin depuis 5-6 ans sur la série télévisée Broute. Avec Pauline on avait écrit un programme court et humoristique qui s’appelait Moitié.e.s. La Comédie Française l’avait regardé et ils avaient dit à Pauline : “C’est drôle ce que tu fais sur Internet avec tes potes. Vous voulez pas réfléchir à des petits sketchs qu’on pourrait poster sur Instagram, sur le monde du théâtre ?” On leur a proposé une série sur la Comédie-Française à la manière de Dix pour cent dans laquelle on suivrait toutes les coulisses, la vie des acteurs...

... et ça leur a plu. On s’est mis à écrire pendant un an. On l’a envoyé à toutes les chaînes de TV et on a essuyé que des refus. Mais en février 2025, nos producteurs nous rappellent. Un truc historique allait se produire en juin : La Salle Richelieu serait disponible pendant 5 jours. Ça n’arrive jamais. C’était une occasion unique d’aller tourner sur cette scène de la Comédie française. Ils nous ont proposé de transformer la série en film. On l’a écrit en by @noa_yehonatan
