It did test as airborne in one room, but other areas of the house are safe for now. We will have to temporarily relocate when our newborn comes next week as we are advised against being here (and no way am I bringing a newborn into this before it’s remedied or during the remediation work).

Fortunately we rent so we aren’t also having to foot the bill for the repairs, and I have a feeling the builder should be held responsible because the home is 4 years old (AC guy was shocked when doing his inspection) but that is not my fight to have. Hopefully it is resolved quickly and doesn’t drag out.

When you eliminate placement fees, commissions, and being paid based off a percentage of salary then the whole experience changes.

You won’t get a fluffed resume, a coached up candidate, or a recruiter that’s overlooking the little things to just get someone placed.

You get a real partner in hiring, that has your best interests in mind and intentionally approaches interviewing/vetting candidates with that in mind.

You get open an honest discussion, and not some polished pitch about a candidate. Reducing hiring risk, saving time & money, and actually finding the right fit.

Quick trip to Austin last week for a builder collective event.

With Kass at 36 weeks pregnant, it didn’t feel right leaving her to wrangle the boys on her own. So we brought the whole family along to make some memories. Our kids love traveling and it’s fun seeing them just excited being in new places.
