A few months back, during a trip to Florida, I stopped into the @thesnooknook to restock on some jigs and ended up in one of those conversations every fisherman appreciates. What started as a quick tackle shop stop turned into a detailed discussion about Northeast striped bass fishing with @noah.young.fishing . Like many anglers, he had always dreamed of experiencing a true striped bass feed in Long Island waters, so we started talking about making it happen.

Over the following months, the idea kept coming up until the stars finally aligned. Within hours of Noah arriving in New York, we were on the water chasing bass. Day two was the one we had been waiting for. Joined by my long time friend @jack.lariz from @clobber_company , we were greeted with light winds, favorable tides, and conditions that gave us the opportunity to make a long run in search of bigger fish.

Anyone who spends enough time chasing striped bass knows timing is everything. As the tide began to change, bunker started stacking up and before long the surface erupted. Big bass were absolutely nuking bunker, creating the kind of chaos that never gets old. Multiple shots at quality fish followed, with several bass in the 25- to 30-pound class hitting the deck.

More importantly, Noah got to experience exactly what makes Northeast striped bass fishing so special—powerful fish feeding aggressively, the anticipation leading up to the moment, and the unpredictability that keeps us coming back season after season.
