Noah got drunk;
Jonah ran away from God;
Paul was a murder;
Gideon was insecure;
Miriam was a gossiper;
Martha was a nervous wreck;
Thomas was a doubter;
Sarah was impatient;
Elijah was depressed;
Peter denied Jesus;
The disciples struggled;

God does not call the qualified, He qualifies the called. No soul is excluded from the love of Jesus, so much in fact that He walked the Earth to understand our temptations. “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.” ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭7‬:‭7-7:8
Jesus loves you for you, He knit you in your mothers womb and He knows you by name. There is no fault in your soul that will make Jesus turn His back to you. He chose faulty disciples instead of the “righteous” to show us that everyone can receive the grace of God. Do not allow the enemy to persuade you into thinking that your sin disqualifies you from a relationship with God. Jesus already took the burdens of our sin and conquered them for us. All we have to do is knock on the door and accept that Jesus turns the unqualified into qualified. Answer His call by @noah_bridges

99 Sheep and the Good Shepherd

There is a Good Shepherd who watches over 100 sheep, and one of those sheep go missing. What does the Good Shepherd do? Would he stay with the 99, or go find the one that’s gone astray? The Good Shepherd knows that he can not afford to lose one sheep, so he leaves the 99 in hopes of finding the missing one. The Shepherd goes on a journey and finds the lost sheep. He returns to his brothers and says “Rejoice with me! For I have found the lost sheep!”. The Shepherd rejoices more for one sheep, than the 99 who never went astray.

Jesus uses this parable to describe us. “There will be more joy in Heaven over one sinner who repents, than over 99 righteous persons who need no repentance”. It is the will of our Father to find the lost hearts and return them to the Holy Spirit.

The good news about this story is that we are all the lost sheep. We are all born into sin and no matter the “good” we do on this Earth, it will never pay for our constant sin. But, there is power in the blood of Christ and He spilled that powerful blood to cover our sins. He has an unconditional love for each of the lost sheep, and He is the Good Shepherd.

(1): the distinguishing character or personality of an individual
(2): who someone is : the name of a person

The lie of the enemy is that your identity is what you do with your time here on earth. The encouragement is to know our identity is in Christ! That because of Him, we are made a new creation. We no longer have to identify with things of this world! We are people who are built on the foundation of Christ and His word. People who are set free from the weight of sin, and the burden of suffering. We can live this way ONLY because of the victory Christ claimed.

Because of this victory, let us fully live in the freedom that Christ gives! We do not have to wait until eternal life to experience freedom! Christ came and died so that we can live life to the fullest! That starts with knowing your identity. Know that you are made in the image of God. That He wants to have a personal, intimate relationship with YOU, and that He loves you dearly. Once we start viewing ourselves the way God views us, we can stop living for the world and start living in truth and freedom!

Stop letting the world tell you who you are. The Creator has already spoken. You are loved, redeemed, chosen, and made new in Christ. The opinions of people will change, but the truth of God’s Word never will.

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.”
