like i wake up, skip class, train in case i get drafted for ww3, read a few chapters of Meditations by Marcus Aurelius, listen to alice in chains, and then fall asleep in the woods under the stars and dream about the beach. All roads lead to NYC or something. I got to go with some super fun people and it was such a gloomy, cozy day. Here’s some more pictures from my last trip to the city plus a few random ones from the past months that I like a lot. And a few adventures at the end. by @noahjohnson4081

I’ve honestly been stupidly blessed these past few months. Just a ton of good people, random adventures, and little moments that made life feel full. I never thought I’d get into photography. I literally bought the camera for video, but picking it up has been so fun. It’s kinda made me slow down and actually notice how beautiful everything is.

1. October, Tioga State Forest. This back pack is actually from Spain, my parents got it there before I was born.

2. December, NYC. New York again, I actually love it here. It was a rainy day but I got a lot of good photos so I can’t complain.

3. October, Tioga State Forest. I haven’t really played around with astrophotography much but I was really happy with how this turned out.

4. (4-8) Tioga State Forest. All random pics from camping there. Everyone (but me and travis) hopped in the freezing water and people driving by were appalled to see us all standing on the bank in their underwear.

9. June. Random pic from an adventure in the summer. I got jumped by a bunch of ticks but so with it because I love ferns so much.

10. October, NYC.

11. June. Pulled off on some random rode to look at a huge herd of deer feeding in a field as the sun set.

12. July. Derek and I getting my car ready for inspection (I still would have failed, but he got the shop to ignore a few things). It’s always so much fun working on cars with him, even when it’s boiling hot out. I love the light in this photo.

13. Not sure when, but a random camping trip in the woods. Nothing like spending the summer by the creek barefoot in jorts.

14. August, Ocean City. We went to pier at sunset, just enjoying the perfect weather as the sun went down over the water. I had to move into college the next day, so this moment was literally the perfect ending to the funnest summer of my life (so far).

15. October, NYC. Everyone is doing something, going somewhere. So many stories, thoughts, and emotions.

16. June. Derek skating the bowl on the most beautiful Saturday morn.

17. August, OBX. Taken on my film camera. Honestly I’m not a fan of this film stock.

18. November. I love leaves….

1. October. Tiago State Forest. Me and my best-mates went camping in the PA Grand Canyon and went fishing at the bottom of the valley. It was absolutely gorgeous. We out-fished a few sweaty fly fishers.

2. October, NYC.

3. October, Conewago Creek. Cowboy camping with Derek.

4. August, OBX. A film shot of the tent me and Luke shared. Sleeping to the sound of the waves was so peaceful.

5. October, NYC. This picture from the top of a building has to be one of my favorite shots ever, it feels like it’s either from a movie or AI.

6. Spring. We were hiking out to find a spot to camp carrying all our gear. Trips like this were the best part of my summer.

7. July, Tennessee. The view from my hotel room window.

8. Some random summer morning at the park. I’m convinced Camden has wings.

9. Same day as the last picture. Just hanging out talking is always the best part about going skating (In my retired opinion).

10. Some random summer evening. Derek’s and my yata’s posted up.

11. August, OBX. Volleyball with friends :)

12. October. A random fair I went to with some friends from school.

13. Another picture from the skatepark. I actually did skate a little bit this summer, I’ll always appreciate it.

14. September. Cam, Derek, and I all met at Derek’s shop for the evening to help get Cam’s car inspected and just hangout. This picture feels so natural and I remember exactly what me and Camden were talking about.

15. June, In the middle of nowhere. A random summer adventure.

16. Fishing in waders, boxers, and a nice dress shirt just because.

17. June. I really like the movement in this picture of Derek’s car back when the bumper was off.

This summer I shot over three rolls of film on my old camera and sent two of them off to New York City to get developed. I wanted to capture moments I’d love to look back on years from now, photos that feel like memories more than just pictures. Here are a few favorites, along with some random shots I haven’t shared yet.

1. Late July. Lying in a random meadow by my house with my friend who took this. I remember how sweet the field smelled.

2. August, Duck, NC. Spent the week in the Outer Banks with some of my favorite people in the world. It was definitely the highlight of my summer.

3. October, NYC. On our way to the beach we decided to go to the city instead, totally spontaneous trip that ended up being such an adventure.

4. September. Baseball game with some friends. Somehow the rain delay was just as entertaining as the game itself.

5. Late July, The Smokey Mountains, TN. I loved the way the moss, rocks, light and water all came together.

6. Late July. A random restaurant in Gatlinburg.

7. Sometime in the summer. A field we walked through on a camping trip in the woods. This picture reminds me of how I had poison ivy literally all summer long.

8. August, OBX. Watching and listening to the waves is probably one of my top 10 favorite things.

9. Early October, Conewago Creek. Spent the night with Derek sleeping on the rocks under the stars without a tent, by the creek and the fire. 5 star lodging, only complaint was that we kept waking up to coyotes yelping all around us.

10. August, OBX. We all went to a local sandwich shop. I love the boats in the background, Harrison, Wyatt, and his car.

11. August, Ocean City. These guys had so much aura. We were also fishing and I got bit by a flounder.

12. June. I was so worried if I got the train coming through in frame on my film camera. I had to wait three months to find out.

13. August, OBX. Took Luke’s tube to ride the waves.

14. That went well…

15. June. Derek skating early on a Saturday morning. His shadow is my favorite part.

16. September. Camden filming a Youtube video of my car.

17. July. A picture of my little sister holding our cotton candy. It just screams summer. by @noahjohnson4081
