Hey, Nannie. I know this message is LONG overdue and at this point probably too late but I love you and I’m sorry that I never followed through on our date to the Cheesecake Factory.

I still have the gift card, and I will always hang on to it so that one day we can make it happen.

Thank you for always loving me even through the distance. When everything went to shit, you were always still a phone call away.

So much of who I am today is because of you. My never ending and unapologetic love of being in a big city and eating SPAM for breakfast. You taught me to always use my imagination, and to create even the silliest of characters — SPAM Can Man, lol. You taught me how to be a fighter and how to keep pushing even if it felt like all was lost. You’re the reason I remember the little details people tell me, and to have compassion for people even if when they hurt me.

Even though I’m not perfect and I’ve definitely fumbled quite a bit, I try to be a good friend and ally to those I care about, and I try to remind everyone I love how much they mean to me because every time I saw you, you made it a point to tell me how much you loved me, and how special I was.

You were really the only grandma I had the opportunity to know, and you made up for it by being 10x the grandma you had to be. You showed up to all my events, and you were always willing to lend me $1 (or more) when something caught my eye that just couldn’t quite afford. And you never stopped believing in me. You gassed me up for even the smallest victories.

I should’ve called more. I should’ve visited more. I realize that now, and I feel awful but somehow I know that you still forgive me despite all of it.

I love you so much. And just like my heart was breaking in the airport when you left Germany and I cried out to you, I’m doing so again but this time I don’t it’s as simple. 💔

I love you. by @noahleejordan

I still don’t really have the words, but I do have three years of selfies. 🙌🏽😝 And even though you are very much alive and only a text/phone call away, it still kinda sucks.

Thank you for believing in me enough to invite me on this roller coaster with you @itsemilydeeee. And thank you for just rolling with all my idiosyncrasies, giving me the space to figure things out, and being there for me during one of the worst days of my life.

Our friendship certainly isn’t over but I guess we’re just facing a new chapter as cheesy as that sounds. This just means you’re about to get a lot more random texts from me throughout the week. 🤦🏽‍♂️

Many years ago, I apparently looked at @cammiedaniels and told her that she needed a brush. And while she remembers that moment, I don’t 😬 but what I do know is that despite years and being several states apart she is one of my favorite people in the world!

I’m so happy we got to spend an amazing weekend together reconnecting and running her first @rundisney 1/2 marathon! 👸🏾💛🏰

Cheers to S2 of being a @lululemon ambassador! It’s hard to express how amazing this journey has been, and how thankful I am for all the amazing people I’ve met in the process. 🍋 I can’t wait to do more cool sh*t with my fellow ambassadors and more importantly my favorite store team! #TeamRosedale!
