POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

I want to share the beginning of something new, and the reason behind it.

Recently, I had the opportunity to present a pitch at TEDxShorelineDrive. While I didn’t move forward into the finals, what happened after mattered more than the outcome itself.

People came up to me.
They shared how the message stayed with them.
How it moved something.
How it felt like a conversation that doesn’t get enough space.

That moment made something very clear to me: survival is not the end of the journey.

For so many of us, especially women who have lost a child, survival is where the world expects the story to stop. But what comes after deserves room. Room to speak. Room to listen. Room to be in community.

That’s why I’m creating After: Conversations under NoahS’s Arc.

This will begin as an in-person talking series, with small group conversations held in spaces throughout Long Beach. Over time, these conversations will also live on as a podcast… so the dialogue can continue beyond the room.

This space is rooted in the belief that perseverance doesn’t end with surviving, and that what we’ve lived through can shape how we show up for others.

More soon. 🤍 taken in Long Beach, California by @noahss_arc_ca

This is what community looks like. 🙏🏽

Huge thank you to Jesus and the team at @meat_distributors in Compton for donating New York loin and pork loins to the @lbrescuemission through NoahS’s Arc Foundation and Axiom Kitchen.

Because of this donation, the Mission can serve an elegant dinner to the folks in their in house community and the larger community they feed every day. Not leftovers. Not an afterthought. A real meal, served with dignity.

That is the heart of this work, and we love doing it.
Thank you for helping us feed Long Beach. 🤎
