In August of 2023 my shoulder froze up out of no where. My Dr. said, “well, you’re at an age, you don’t need to do anything to get hurt.” A year later and with PT, I got my movement back but lost all my strength and still had pain. Thanks to @drmaryclaire I realize my frozen shoulder was brought on by menopause. With what I know now, nothing could convince me otherwise. Last December I decided it’s time to stop and get my health back on track! I started hormone replacement therapy and training. It feels overwhelmingly to start working out after a long break or maybe you’ve NEVER lifted weights. I found an online trainer and he has helped get me back on track! Looking for some help, message @nickolasderstine for me, online training is where it is at! Feeling confident with my workouts and getting stronger every week! #strong #dayone #menopause #takebackyourlife #frozenshoulder by @noakes94

It’s been a full and busy few weeks! All good things but my house has taken a big hit! I can easily spiral into what @thelazygenius calls big garbage bag energy! But today, I thought about what mattered most to my Sunday. I really wanted to enjoy time on the couch with my husband and youngest daughter and I wanted a little peace in my messy house! Instead of huffing around cleaning all day, I cleaned my kitchen and the connected den and then I let the rest go for today! It was so nice to relax today and enjoy being together AND one clean space! Hoping you did something this weekend that brought you joy!
