Anthony Scaramuccu lasted 11 days as a press secretary. “Scaramucci” became a measure of time. Katie Zacharia lasted five, after one conference. Or one Zacharia… by @nobullhogg

Just finished watching “The State of Man” on @abciview. What a fantastic miniseries. A well-rounded overview of the manosphere, its impact on society and how one can break the cycle of its toxicity. Kudos to @marcfennell on his hosting duties and being such a pleasant guide through a dark world. by @nobullhogg

One of the most inspiring scenes I’ve seen in a movie is Uncle Ray’s (David McKnight) pep talk to Bobby (Robert Townsend) in “Hollywood Shuffle” (1987). So simple, but effective. by @nobullhogg

“The Mighty Quinn” (1989) is a very enjoyable cop movie set in Jamaica. Great vibe, quirky characters, a must-watch. by @nobullhogg

If smooth jazz was a movie, it would be “China Moon” (1994), an excellent noirsh flick with amazing chemistry between Ed Harris and Madeleine Stone. Check it out. by @nobullhogg

Cheezels are a cheesy flavoured snack built on a single foundation: cheese flavouring. So why is there a salt and vinegar version? The salt and vinegar flavouring are quite strong, washing away any hint of cheese, thus nullifying its cheese-based premise. Why not just salt and vinegar flavoured chips? That’s a quandary for its manufacturers to solve. by @nobullhogg

Many years ago, when I used to patron video stores, one VHS cover that caught my attention — well, it’s back cover, specifically — was “Transformations” (1988), a horror sci-fi movie. The back cover depicted a couple in flagrante delicto, with the woman’s back having some kind of alien shard sorta thing on it.* Today, thanks to the magic of Prime, I found out her character’s name is “Women [sic] Succubus” and she was played by Pamela Prati. A nice little performance indeed. The film, itself, is sort of like a cheap cross between “2001: A Space Odyssey” (at least, the opening scene), “The Exorcist” and “Species.” That description makes it sound better than it it.

* Cover here is not the original I remember, but just used for illustrative purposes. by @nobullhogg

Funny how violence doesn’t matter if the perps are white, according to this bigot. by @nobullhogg

Had a wonderful lunch at @deependpizza today. Been there before. Tried the Detroit, Chicago and pan pizza styles. Loved the whipped ricotta on the Detroit. A nice touch. Really enjoyed the Chicago, rich tomato sauce and a lovely buttery crust. The pan pizza was definitely a nostalgia hit. All washed down with A&W root beer (sarsaparilla). Deep End is a must visit for all Victorians, and beyond! by @nobullhogg

Like “woke,” the notion of “empathy” is being subverted by the right into a negative — as if it’s wrong to be against bigotry. Naturally, bigots use that as a cover to perpetuate bigotry. In this instance, following the revelation that Rudy Giuliani’s office was well aware of the toxic aftereffects of the WTC tower takedowns, watch as a far right bigot tries to keep heat on Muslims. by @nobullhogg
