I thought I’d reintroduce myself 🌿🫶🏼 Hi, I’m Abi — the face and hands behind Node & Stem. I’m 30, from Staffordshire and now living in North Wales, where I create dried flower bouquets and wedding flowers from my little garage studio. Node & Stem didn’t start as a business plan. It began with plant cuttings… and a very cold house. When houseplants stopped surviving, I came across a box of dried flowers for £30 and everything changed. Five years ago, I went full time, building Node & Stem entirely on my own. I have a fashion design degree, which influences how I work: colour, texture, balance, and form are at the heart of everything I create. That’s also why, alongside floristry, I share fashion and styling content over on my other instagram. This business has grown through seasons of real life. Over the past three years, we’ve experienced 4 miscarriages, and Node & Stem has quietly existed alongside our fertility journey. Creating has been both grounding and necessary, something steady to hold onto while everything else felt uncertain. Running a small business solo means wearing every hat: photographer, florist, marketer, website builder, stockist, email writer, packer, problem solver — all from a garage studio that I’m slowly outgrowing. We’re hopefully moving house soon, which would mean a proper studio space and a new chapter for the brand. If you’ve been here from the beginning, thank you.
