Being in the Netherlands, it's almost impossible to not see one of these beauties. The area had the largest population of fallow deer in the Netherlands. I have a close up from this deer, but zoomed out and felt that the overall scene creates a better picture.

I'm very happy that I was able to get pictures of this beautiful little bird. Was in the shade, etc., but it was so curious and came so close, that it didn't really matter.

Backstory: wanted to show @merlin.bird.id to a neighbor when all of the sudden the app spotted a common firecrest nearby! SonI ran and grabbed my cam.

This is not a paid promotion and the app is free, just another example for a picture that, very likely, would not have been taken without it. Get it😁

I watched as a bee-eater brought a gift to a female. And she accepted it! I put together a video for you using some .jpg from the series and picked one to edit a little.

I happened to come across this woodpecker hole by chance. I was really happy about it, but not happy with the conditions—too dark, in the shade, and so on—so I decided to take a couple of test shots and come back when the conditions were better. I played around with the RAW files and ended up being satisfied after all. The power of raw data, or something like that.

Another photo of the bee-eaters. What do you think? I feel, that including more of the surroundings in the photo provides more context. But it, unfortunately, loses impact on a small screen. Both version are cropped quite a bit.

Weiteres Bild der Bienenfresser. Was denkt ihr? Was schade ist. Beide Versionen aind ordentlich gecropped.

Normally, I’d complain about a blue sky and about the distance to the subject. But not when it comes to the golden oriole. I’ve been wanting to photograph it for a long time, and together with my friend @klar_saar , I finally managed to do it.
