Doors to join my first Ear to Fretboard live course are closing this week.
Thank you to all of you who have shown interest and already reached out to me.

I have put 20+ years of experience on the guitar into this material. Now I am sharing so that you can learn to play and improvise anything by ear on the guitar, in a fraction of the time it took me.

What you will get out of this program:
-Improvise exactly what’s in your head, without thinking about theory or shapes
-Know (internalize) what every fret on the guitar sounds like
-Learn virtually any song within the first couple listens, even without a guitar
-Creative freedom!!

@brandon.giordano - Real results from working with me šŸ‘† He now understands the language of music + the fretboard, and can play melodies and chords just by hearing them. If you want to work with me to achieve the same results, apply by typing ā€œLEARNā€ below by @noelhakkim

How I went from guessing on the fretboard to improvising freely by learning this essential skill—

If we rewind back to 15 years ago…
I was stuck playing shapes and patterns my fingers knew, but my ear didn’t know the actual notes that were going to come out.

It didn’t actually feel like I was improvising and playing the melodies I wanted to play.
I would THINK about what pattern or scale was right…
Instead of hearing the notes in my head and playing them on the guitar.

I desperately wanted to sound like my guitar heroes, but I wondered if I would ever be able to play like them or be free on the instrument.

Then I learned the Ear to Fretboard connection and everything changed. This is being able to play any melody in your head on the guitar instantly, without guessing.

Now I’m able to:
-Play what I am imagining instinctively, without needing to think about theory or scale patterns
-Hear songs, and know how to play them before I even pick up the guitar.
-Play, write, and record the music in my head
-Jam with other musicians and know instantly what to play, even if we’ve never played together

Learning this skill was probably the single most important change I made in my musicianship.

But nothing worth having comes easy, I made a lot of mistakes along the way. Here’s a few things that if I knew from the start, I would’ve succeeded even quicker.

-Playing by ear is NOT dependent on natural talent. It is a skill that can be taught and learned.
-Learning scales and new vocabulary WITHOUT internalizing them in your ear will never result in you becoming a great improviser or create freely
-You will be able to learn most other things on your own after learning this skill, without being dependent on tabs, videos, or other courses. Because you finally can learn things just by listening to them.

For those who want this, I’ve put together a course that will help you learn this ability. It is a step by step method I’ve already used with my private students to teach them this skill.
