Support, 2026, approx. 160 x 400 cm
sheet steel, wax on plastic, paint on paper, plaster on wood

The rectangular works originate from artistic production processes such as glass melting, lacquering, or metal casting, where they serve as support sheets. Marked with traces and passively formed, they were removed from the process in order to later be returned to it. They show a momentary snapshot, since they will be altered through further use.

In this way, authorship becomes unclear. The support sheets bear witness to division of labor and collaboration, and represent a craft-based aesthetic.

Our Artist Archive continues with Noël Hochuli. He creates site-specific installations that focus on living spaces and the systems that shape them. Heavily influenced by his background in construction, his practice examines complex ecological, social, and material interactions.

During Zahn der Zeit, he engaged with these themes, presenting works that intertwine personal vulnerability with broader structural and environmental concerns.

I graduated from the masters program at @zhdkfinearts with my diploma project Suron I. Based on artistic research, the project presents findings and interpretations of a very local and personal place. It can be seen as a portrait of a river organism that has been heavily altered and used by human.

In the process, I engaged with biologists, authorities, residents, my family and fishers, and also drew on my own memories. The pedestals used in the exhibition were repurposed from the school and arranged with a clear reference to Isabelle Cornaro’s Landscapes.

The diploma show was beautifully curated by Gloria Hasnay. @g_s_m_h

Thank you all for supporting this!

Some works of the previous show at @hotel.tiger
Thank you @louisbitcoin, @frauzaugg and stefan schellinger for doing this together.
Lots of love to everyone who came!

I showed a group of works that deal with the question of one's own origins, the social structures behind and the reproduction of its narrative. Some reference to personal experiences on the construction site.
