Youth Works you did it again!
Thank you for an unforgettable week that I’ll carry with me forever.
This week, I had the privilege of serving in St. Louis, working to make a difference in the lives of the people in this beautiful city. On Monday, I spent the day at the Wellness Center, where I got to meet and work with sweet Ms. Ollie Stewart. She shared stories about St. Louis, taught us about the community, and even led us in some chair yoga. She was truly a light in our week.
From Tuesday through Thursday, I served at Waymakers Church, where we painted sanctuary walls, helped in the food pantry, and worked on projects to make the church a brighter and more welcoming space. It was amazing to see how even small acts of service can make such a big impact.
This trip opened my eyes to the real needs of city communities and how important it is for Jesus-loving people to step up and serve. The gratitude we witnessed from the people we helped was humbling. It wasn’t about us, it was about reflecting God’s love through our actions.
One moment that will stay with me forever was when a man came up to us youth and said, “You kids give me hope for the future generations and my grandchildren.” As someone who hopes to become a teacher one day, those words touched my heart deeply.
Leaving the service sites and seeing people in tears reminded me that this is what true service looks like, serving for the Lord and by His grace.
This trip also brought new friendships into my life, people who share the same love for Jesus. These friendships are special and ones I’ll cherish forever.
Thank you to everyone who made this week possible. And thank you, Jesus, for your protection, your guidance, and for giving me the opportunity to serve in such an amazing community.

As I sit here on a quiet Wednesday night, reflecting on last night and the past 13 years of my life, all I can say is: thank you, Jesus. Thank you for placing the love of softball in my heart because of You, I’ve had the chance to play a game that has become such a huge part of who I am.
It’s hard to believe this chapter is closing. For 13 years, softball has been my constant teaching me lessons I’ll carry into the future, shaping my character, and gifting me a community that’s stood beside me through it all.
It taught me discipline, perseverance, teamwork, and how to bounce back after every scraped-up slide. It also taught me that band-aids and Biofreeze are non-negotiables in a softball players life.
As I sit here with one last scraped up leg from the agrilime, a part of me doesn’t want it to heal because somehow, it feels like the last physical tie to that field where I left so much of my heart. That field saw the highs, the heartbreaks, the growth, and so many unforgettable memories.
Thank you, softball, for being there for me from the time I was a little girl with big dreams, to now closing this chapter with a full heart. I hope you continue to shape girls’ lives like you did mine.
To everyone who has been a part of this journey, thank you. This wasn’t just my story. It was our story. Your support, your cheers, your love it meant everything.
And to Jesus, thank You for protecting me through every game, every practice, every long tournament weekend, and every late-night drive home. You were with me every time I laced up my cleats.
