SO HONORED TO HAVE BEEN A PART OF THIS!!

This past Thursday I had the privilege of being able to play in the Creative Arts Orchestra, directed by Marcus Elliot, featuring Roscoe Mitchell, debuting a piece by Michael Malis (what a lineup of musicians!). CAO has changed the way I see music, and I am forever grateful to be a part of this.

Thank you to @marcus.elliot , @michaelnomalice , and @umichjazz for putting this all together!

In honor of 100 years of Coltrane, here’s a few choruses on “Central Park West.” Happy birthday to the man who sparked my love for jazz music, and to the person who inspired me to keep playing all these years. It all comes back to him.

Tomorrow I’ll be opening the first show in the Concerts for Caring Series, hosted by Detroit ACE and Detroit Composer Laureate Patrick Prouty in an effort to raise donations for those in need. I’ll be playing bass with the TNP Trio alongside @pierceging and @tas.cope , and we will be opening for @marionhaydenbass and the Straight Ahead Trio. Tickets are FREE, so please come out tomorrow night at 7:00 in order to support this great cause!
