Honouring my brother in worship, Brian Doerksen.

As one worship leader to another, I give thanks to God for the life, calling, and legacy of this mighty man of God. Brian’s songs have become the voice of the Church, prayers lifted from hearts around the world, drawing generations into deeper worship and closer communion with our Lord. His ministry has not only given us songs to sing, but a lasting invitation to encounter the presence of Jesus.

Today I share “Come Now is the Time to Worship” as a tribute to a man who used his gift to exalt the name of Jesus. Brian’s humility, love for God, and heart for worship were a beautiful reflection of the One he served.

Though we mourn his passing on July 21, 2026, we rejoice knowing that his worship continues and that he is now in the presence of the King he faithfully worshipped.

May we continue to carry the song, the faith, and the heart of worship forward.

Thank you, Brian, for pointing us to Jesus.

The weather can cause havoc to your journey! My flight from Newark to Orlando was originally 5pm but it’s delayed till 11pm now! The lounge at Newark is very nice and the menu is on point! Let’s see if this plane will take off this side of midnight! Lol by @noelrobinsonuk

It’s such a sad moment to hear of the passing of one of the great global contributors to worship! Brian Doerksen’s contribution to the worship community really is immense. Amazing songs like ‘Come Now is Time to Worship’ were one of my favourites as a young worship leader. I had the incredible privilege of meeting him and his wife many times over the years and got to support him on his Europe tour! What an incredibly humble man who loved Jesus and wrote those songs that made Jesus come alive in our hearts.
You are a testament to consistency and your story lives on in your songs, family, and everyone whose life you touched. The worship community truly has lost a global giant worshipper, songwriter, worship leader brother and friend. Your voice will always echo the voice of the father who said St John 4:23 … the father is seeking those .. your response is to challenge us .. Come now is the time! To Worship! #worshipleaders

I love singing songs that tell the story of the gospel because they remind me that Jesus is the point of our worship.

Every time I reflect on the gospel, my only response is worship—not just with my voice, but with the way I live.

One of my favourite moments in Oh Praise the Name is verse 3:

“He shall return...”

Those words fill my heart with hope and joy. They also remind me that Jesus is coming back, and that I want to live every day ready for His return.

Come, Lord Jesus.

Last night wasn’t just another worship night it was an invitation.

An invitation to lay down every burden.
To release every fear.
To let go of control.
To surrender everything to Jesus.

Following Christ isn’t about carrying Him only when life feels easy. It’s about choosing Him every single day. Picking up our cross daily. Dying to our own desires so that His purpose can live through us.

Real freedom begins where surrender starts.

Whatever you’re carrying today, remember this: God isn’t asking for perfection He’s asking for your heart. When we fully surrender, He does what only He can do: heal, restore, transform, and lead us into the life He created us to live.

Then Jesus told His disciples, Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me. Luke 9:23

May we never stop saying:
Lord, not my will, but Yours be done.

Our Worship workshop at Lead Me 2026 is going to be something else entirely. 🎶🙌🏾

We are thrilled to welcome @noelrobinsonuk , musician and songwriter signed with Integrity Music, the first ever Integrity Music artist agreement given to a worship leader of African-Caribbean heritage. A man called to cross cultures. A heart burning to see the Church empowered and revived as agents of change and transformation in this world.

Day 2 | M4C26 | Evening Session Part 1

What an incredible atmosphere! We kicked off the evening with powerful worship with the CCC choir, Thomas Lokofe, and Noel Robinson.

Pastor Madeleine Kerzner then brought a profound word, reminding us that faith isn’t just a feeling or a form of adoration—it’s an active partnership with God. While God provides, we have a responsibility to step out in obedience.

As the Bible reminds us: “Faith without works is dead.” (James 2:17)
