Words can’t express how impressed I am by this guy!! 27 years in the military, a bazillion deployments, countless moves and he was always the calm, relaxed, problem solver through every step. So many guys he’s worked with have told me how in the bad times Dustin is the one to remain calm and handle what needs to be handled then say ‘man that was nuts!’ afterwards! And he is that guy at home too always rolling with the punches and easygoing.
So thankful for him and his calming presence at all times!
And even though sometimes I hated it, I’m so thankful for his years in the military— through all the not great times where he was away it also brought us some pretty amazing places that I’m forever grateful for. I won’t miss making almost complete strangers our kids school emergency contacts because we knew nobody else, but I do love that those circumstances lead to new people becoming friends and some of those friends becoming family.
All in all, it’s been a wild ride! Thanks Dust, on to the next chapter! ♥️

I blinked and it is March!
January & February consisted of snow for Alabama, our pantry makeover done by Dustin, celebrating @ktgriffeth , Dustin’s snowboarding trip, Kalista exploring Scotland, taking shots in random stores, almost dying at a rage room (sorry @mrscathyhazel - I couldn’t resist 😂), Mardi Gras fun, surviving Beta Club and watching the littles shine- yes Mason has tiny little wooden legs 😂 by @noelschnaible
