Mugshots #1 .

Over the next course of days, I'll try to make a comment about each person I gave them to.

1. Michael Hart- I live with this man for a long time. He's an epic builder and he dealt with us jugglers for way too long.

2. Mumu is a midwife in Puerto Rico. I got to know her during her circus days in San Francisco. Thankful I get to see her usually once a year.

3. Jonah is one of the people that has been the longest flow journey with me. Things wouldn't be the same if he was no longer coming to the events.

4. Ben and Jenni- Ben came to the rescue one of my hardest years of teaching. It's been nice to see him, be married and now see him on the next phase of life.

5. Kate, I've known for a long time and we still keep in touch. She really is a really good poi spinner. But more than that, she's a really cool person.

6. Forte- I worked with them for many years. We had an epic kayaking adventure many years back and I wish I saw them more.

7. Cindy - honestly is one of my biggest pottery supporters. She has a crafty mind and I love sharing crafts with her. She made me a couple quilts I have at home.

8. Dominic is one of my close friends that I wish I saw more. He's a really good producer of music and is a good poi spinner and should probably do that more.

9. Shane - I don't know him really well, but he does play magic and he loves wildfire. So we share some common interests.

10. Ruth is a really good poi spinner and friend. We do partner poi together and I hope to do more in the future.

11. David Ramsey. I've known him since my entire time in the Philadelphia scene.

12. Alex, one of my closest Philly friends that keeps it real.

13. Lee is really cool and is building his own house. It was really fun to see him recently on his birthday.

14. Phoenix was one of my closest friends when I would visit New York.

15. Coach is really insightful and hella good at poi.

16. Yasha Amelia B. Love and issa from kinetic fire kitchen.

17. Kyle's birthday at Queen and rook

18. Lucas after playing race for the galaxy in a cabin.

19. Tiffany tanuki a. Catalyst for Philadelphia flow Arts. And I hope to play mahjong soon. by @noeltech

NOELTECH#67: My Friend.

This video was taken on the Black Rock Desert. This is where #BurningMan the annual Festival takes place. For such a long time while I lived in East Oakland I structured my year around the big burn. My home was a house for all the Burning Man stuff and I even had an entire storage unit dedicated to it.

The year this video was made I actually went to an event that takes place prior to the burn around the 4th of July called Fourth of Juplaya. It was a pretty surreal experience and it was nice to be really in the elements. Usually at the burn there's people in art and stuff like that but you don't really get to feel how harsh and beautiful the conditions are without the distraction of other humans. We located our camp by GPS and shout out to Howard for lending me his truck.

At one point in my life I went to Burning Man for 10 years in a row. I still have my laminates posted up by my bathroom as an additional flex. I haven't been back in over a decade. There's a small chance I might go back someday, but who knows. I'll never be a hater on the Big Burn. It's shaped who I am. It made me a better flow artist, camp mate, Festival Producer and probably most importantly a better person.

The conversations I've had at the burn have been pretty impactful to me in my life. Whether I remember the name of the people I met or not. One of the most special things to burn is the temple. A non-denominational location for people to grieve and to remember and sometimes let go of the feelings they have about loved ones. Over the years I've sent people to the burn with stuff for the temple. It's been my one way, aside from artica and conclave emails, I still feel connected.

NOELTECH #73: CONTACT STAFF ANGEL VARIATIONS.

This was made 10 Years ago. I had just moved to Philadelphia and started renting my practice space. I had just moved from East Oakland, California. I didn't really know or feel comfortable with a ton of people. It was a space to settle and figure out my new life. Well and basically practice like crazy. It wasn't as awesome as my space in Oakland but at least it wasn't my living room.

You can even see that there's no mirrors on the wall. It's that long ago there. I first started renting it with Mikey Mangorilla and Chris Stopherson. Interestingly, I had just taught a group contact staff class to a few people right around the time of making this. One of them Autumn has ended up being my studio mate for the past few years.

Contact staff is where I really learned about technique. In the old days sharing online with MCP, Benjamen, Kyle Mclean, Sebastian, Brett it felt really like there was lots to discover.

This video is the compilation of a lot of work. I spent time making a contact staff DVD with friends. I spent time traveling the world even to places like Paris to just meet people that were better at contact staff than me. I feel like this video has been influential for me and I can say that so many people have come back to tell me that it's been really good for them.

All of this would never have been possible without MCP coming and staying all those years with me at the Vulcan. So yeh thanks.

NOELTECH#39: Simple Tech - this was made at the historic Vulcan in East Oakland CA 14 years ago. It highlights a lot of my early poi research.

Many of these tricks are the origin of a framework for poi called "stacks" all in long form tech blog so hold on it's a long video.

It's interesting to me how many of these ideas are normalized in poi these days. Over the years I've worked hard to remember the people that taught me things and credit them. These days I see this less and less.

It's cool that maybe others came up with them separately over the years as if we are all tapped into the the universal flow channel.

Or that a trick I taught has literally trickled down through people, whether in person or from the internet through the generations of spinners.

Either way check out this video and let me know what you think! Link me and tag me on any new variations on this stuff you may have come up with.

My response to @marlen.hazel pinchy thing.
A cross arm angel with an extra neck wrap into the pinchy thing to whatever angel exit.

Excited to be sort of excited to spin sticks again over the past 3 months. In the fall come to @fahrenheitflowarts and spin sticks with the homies. Once I somehow manage to financially get some collapsible doubles contact sticks, I'm totally going to dive in again. Or if you live in Philly and want to regrip my sticks let me know.

Give it a go and tag me. Shout out to @jonathandelfuego , @jayjcamacho @maddie_boomboom @high_desert_flow @rubixignition @nimbuspropart @cstaffchazz @pikemichael @solriso_ @meast__ @kevarleri for being real ones in the staff life.
