Long post but worth the read My daughter. My soul friend. My only child. ❤️

For 35 years, you have given me a lifetime of magic, love, laughter, and memories. You have given me some of the proudest moments of my life, and you’ve also been there through some of my most challenging times. You have made me laugh so hard that tears came from my eyes, and you have made me so proud that those tears came for an entirely different reason.

Jadey, you are talented beyond belief, in your words, your voice, your creativity, your skills, and in the way you move through the world. You are a natural leader, creatively, scholastically, professionally, and in life.

You gave me the greatest gift when you gave me yourself. And then, somehow, you gave me another little piece of magic, my granddaughter, who is like a tiny little mini-you. Watching you become her mom has been one of the greatest gifts of my life. ❤️

This year has been tough, for so many reasons. Going back to school. Working full-time. Being a mom. Carrying all the responsibilities that life has placed on your shoulders.

And I’ve learned something watching you: resilience doesn’t always look beautiful. Sometimes resilience is messy. It’s exhausting. It’s dirty and hard and overwhelming. Sometimes it’s simply waking up, taking a breath, putting a smile on your face for that little girl, and doing it all again.

And you do.

You go to school. You go to work. You show up for your daughter. You make time for your family. You keep going. And somehow, you still manage to be loving, funny, kind, creative, and YOU.

You are resilient, my sweet girl. You are brave. You are courageous. You are beautiful. You are kind. You are smart. You are funny. You are strong.

And I am so incredibly proud to be your mom.

Watching you become the woman and mother you are has been one of the greatest privileges of my life.

Happy 35th birthday, my Jadey. ❤️

The Office: Remote YA Edition

A few weeks ago we had a The Office: Remote Edition challenge in the @youreawesomecommunity where we could choose a scene from the show The Office and do our version of it, or create our own. So, a few of us from the community created this sketch based on the plank episode of The Office (US), from all over the world!
