Tactile has been part of my life for nearly a decade.

In that time, I made the music I’m proudest of, built the audio tools that became @noir_labs, and spent five years making Spirit Jumper with an incredible team of artists and animators.

Three singles are out now. The full album arrives September 18.

Tactile is out today and I started making it nearly a decade ago.

While working on it, I kept getting frustrated with plugins that weren’t doing what I wanted them to do. That led me to teach myself Max for Live and start making my own. Those tools became Noir Labs, and every plugin came from some problem I was trying to solve while making this record.

Volume Buddy started because I was manually measuring the level before and after every effect while mixing “Spirit Jumper.” Chain Shaper came out of trying to mix “Shadowplay” and “Ritual Echo” and keep the drums punching through the leads without killing them with traditional sidechain compression.

I finished Tactile on January 1, 2020. Then the world shut down, and I decided to wait before releasing it.

The plugins became @noir_labs, and I started making the animated music video for “Spirit Jumper,” which turned into another five-year project with an incredible team.

So everything came out in the wrong order. The software got to people first. Then the film. And now, finally, the album.

Tactile is eight tracks pulling from UK garage, jungle, shoegaze, and the electronic music and bands I grew up with.

It’s strange releasing something I’ve been sitting on for so long, especially when so much of my life since then came directly from making it.

My debut album Tactile is coming out 09/18/26. Shimmer Cell is the 3rd single, and the final song I wrote for the album.

It feels surreal to be able to share this with the world. I started this album nearly a decade ago after feeling disillusioned with making music I felt like I should make, and wanting to figure out the music I actually needed to make for myself.s

I finished Tactile on Jan 1 2020, and then covid hit. I held off on releasing it, launched Noir Labs with the plugins I made for Tactile and started making the animated music video for Spirit Jumper, which became a much bigger project than I expected.

I can’t wait for you to hear the rest of it.

I started Ritual Echo in 2018. it took forever, mostly because I couldn’t get the drums to sit the way I wanted in the mix. I ended up building the first version of Chain Shaper just to finish it…been sitting on it since 2020 and here we are. happy this is finally out in the world. out now on @noir_labs

enjoy ⚡️

Swiss Army Meter 6 is out now.

A full rewrite of our Max for Live metering device for Ableton Live. Redesigned interface, modular meter slots, loudness and dynamics graphs, stereo scope, BPM and pitch tools, pop-out meters, and smarter CPU behavior.

Built for producers who want to see more of the mix without opening five different tools.
