The Cofran sofa SD2C designed in 1955 by Armando Franco and preserved/reedited by @clasicos.mexicanos

About Armando Franco Rovira
The legacy left by Armando Franco at the different levels of urban-architectural and industrial design reflects the social attitudes and inclinations that, since industrialization, have also intertwined craftsmanship and local production.

He co-authored, along with Tedodoro Gonzàles de Leòn, the master plan for the National Autonomous University of Mexico's campus.

Most of his furniture designs date from the mid-1950s when José Chavez Morado invites Franco to develop a collection on the workshops of the Escuela de Artesanias y diseño- INBA. by @noir_std

Dissonance. Its form is born from the free movement of hands over the clay, a direct imprint of the gesture that shapes the form without any intention of controlling it. The details of its finish emerge when interacting with the different salts on the piece contained on a Saggar, generating contrasts: intense oranges, milky whites, and broken blues. @roon_________

Chandigarh was designed to symbolize India's independence and modernity, the dream city of India's first Prime Minister, Sh. Jawahar Lal Nehru, It was also intended to be the new state capital of Punjab.  Le Corbusier prepared the master plan for Chandigarh and designed several buildings there, including government buildings.

Le Corbusier's work in India has had a major impact on the country's urban planning and architectural design. Located at the foothills of Shivaliks, it is known as one of the best experiments in urban planning and modern architecture in the twentieth century in India.
