Three years.

It’s nearly been three long years and it still hurts to listen to this song. Even as I sit here writing this I still refuse to accept that you’re gone. Grief works in strange ways - we wrote this in October of 2023 shortly after your passing and I could never bring myself to release it, a part of me wonders if we ever should have. I’ve never felt comfortable baring my soul, even to those I hold close.

Yet here we are. Nearly three years later.

Grief, ultimately, is the most unifying experience any human will ever endure. It is a valley we all walk alone, albeit a path well trodden from those who came before, and a path mapped out for those who will trudge these lows after. We must remember we are not alone, and that is why we’ve put this out. You are not alone.

So this one’s for you. For the love you taught me to share, for the weight you taught me to bare with courage, for the life you’ve allowed me to live.

Sincerely, from the bottom of my heart, thank you.
