POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

It took some time for me to feel enough joy again to share, but I’m realizing even when times are the hardest it’s important to celebrate and allow your yourself to smile. One month ago I completed my MBA journey at @uscftmba 2 years that more than anything taught me just hire much I’m capable of. I couldn’t have done it or made it through the post few weeks without my family and my tribe. #stayingoptimistic. PS: I’m once again headed back to NYC, they can’t get rid of me taken in USC Marshall School of Business by @nojyam

On May 18th I lost him… Many people who didn’t know him likely thought my father was a quiet but serious, no nonsense military man (which he could very much be) but to those he loved, he was so much more. A caring compassionate father, friend and husband who would go to the ends of the earth to support you. My father was born before the end of World War 2 and in the deep Jim Crow South. He saw the rise and fall of civil rights leaders like MLK and JFK and served his country for 26 years in Vietnam, Grenada and Iraq. The stories of those moments in history he saw will be something I always remember. But to me he was so much more than all that. He was my rock, my twin 😌, a bridge builder and an inspiration.

2026 will be a year I always remember but, sometimes a year I want to forget. I love you Dad and you meant the world to me….
